You have done a fantastic job! A few suggestions for you to consider. Purchase a yarn winder to cake the unlabelled yarns and save even more space. Also, if you have access to a digital kitchen scale and calculator, you can calculate how much yarn is left for the unlabelled yarns. I did all this with the help of KZbin videos and was amazed how much space became available. Hubby bought a winder for me and after he saw how much more space there was he bought me more yarn. Loved watching your video!

First of all, love you and your content. Best discovery of 2020. Second, I can’t remember if you have a ball winder (if not you can buy one decently priced on Amazon) they are an amazing investment. It helps shrink your yarn back into a smaller skein and it saves a ton of space! (Plus it keeps your yarn from ending up in a tangled mess later)

Hi, i feel your pain, though im not in college, im in a one bedroom apartment and my yarn is my "wallpaper" and set up on 6 plastic shelving units. I do have a suggestion that i do with smaller almost used up skeins that are more of a mess. I put them in ziploc bagsj ($1 at dollar tree) so they don't get tangled with other yarns. i have all mine separated by colors and weights... good job utilizing your small space and clear trash bags work well too. I also use round containers from dollar tree to separate my projects to keep them from getting mixed up, i stand the yarn up with the center pull and don't have to remove them to work on my project. good luck on your studies and so glad you are working towards your goals.

For the blanket yarn, you could make a crazy blanket, if you wanna use it up and just pick a cool stitch and go with it, change colors whenever it feels right. If you weigh it you can calculate how much you'll use and therefore what size to make (starting chain)

I got those metal cubes you build yourself on Amazon they can be built in several ways so it is useful in all kinds of spaces so maybe consider that for your room at home? They are only like $30 a box and a box gives u like a lot of cubes. If you build it so it is open in the front and back like the ikea cubes you can get an extra 2 cubes instead of building it the way they says w one opening. Since yarn is not heavy I did this and it has been fine! I built a set of cubes in my closest that store my massive collection of yarn, it’s really bad...I could open a shop honestly but it is my therapy to collect yarn lol I works very stressful job and I work a lot of overtime every week and even if I can’t crochet that day...just looking at and touching pretty yarn helps. I am considering changing the whole thing so the is yarn out on display in my office and not in my office closet but right now I don’t have the time for the make over so maybe this summer! I like your soft under bed storage because I bet it fits more than the firm ones I have for clothes! Good job!

i love videos like this so much, yarn hauls, yarn stashes, its just so satisfying to watch omg. but it always makes me wanna go yarn shopping, which is bad for my bank account dkjfskfd. also those under the bed storage bins are super smart! i love how they zip closed too! if yarn gets dusty and gross, it is so hard to clean it up,,,,,, i have a cube shelf in my room, with these little fabric bins, and they perfectly hold my usual brand (caron simply soft), like i can put the skeins in vertically, 4 by 4, and then an extra 3 or 4 skeins on the top laying down. so i have 3 bins full of whole or almost whole skeins, and i have one bin with all the skeins that are like, 3/4 left or less, yknow. even that isnt enough space sometimes though kdjfsdk. i just bought lion brand's skein tones, like 1 of almost each color, and those are still in the box on my floor, cause idk where to put them lmao. im also kinda weird about mixing yarn brands, so like, i dont wanna put different yarns in the same bin. so thats a problem i made for myself, but whatever sdfkjsdfj

If anyone is crocheting on a budget, I would recommend the Main Stays yarn from Walmart! It’s only $2.50 for 397 yds (363 m) of 100% acrylic yarn. I pretty much only ever use 4 weight yarn, so this is perfect. But, my close second favorite yarn is the Red Heart Super saver yarn, which you can also get from Walmart. Finally, if you’re on the hunt for a good quality super fluffy yarn, I absolutely love the Yarnspirations Bernat Velvet Plus yarn. My favorite thing about this yarn is that it hardly sheds at all, which I’ve noticed in many other fluffy yarns. Hopes this helps!!!
