this was a really difficult video to make. growing up fatherless was one of the hardest things I've ever had to survive. but here is how I did it.

Sorry for your experience. My mother died when I was 15 and it was horrible. Proud of you.

“…either the fire consumes you, or you consume the fire.” I loved this, let us see if not only we prevent it from consuming us, but also use the fire in our favor…

I can only imagine how this was for you. Being with him up until 6 years old. You are so strong and resilient. As a person that grew up with an absent father, I deeply appreciate your openness about this.

I'm sorry your family didn't process this correctly for the younger you, but you took this and transformed in such an inspirational way you're even making me proud of you 😭 My dad is psychologically abusive and all the memories I have with him are largely negative. But hearing this just makes me want to do something great with my situation because it feels like my dad died before I was even born. He grew up horribly and has always been a broken person who wasn't able to properly raise my siblings and I. The way that you put this about how you can't ever 'move past' it is extremely true, it has the 'pick up your cross' kind of vibe that makes me just want to try my hardest and never give me. Once again, I'm sorry about how your family kind of swept something as important as this to you under the rug and never dealt with it because my family does the same thing with every problem as well. Jesus is real bro, don't let your family be a horrible representation, because you very well could end up seeing your dad again in heaven, and I think you already know the only way there.
