This video is the best video of packing a bag, it is totally on point, no bullshit and the visual aid helps a lot! I appreciate it! I am wondering if the top strap have length for strapping a egg shell pad?
@CikenstripDesk
@CikenstripDesk Жыл бұрын
thank you for your compliment, I really appreciate it 🙏🏻 for this 22L bag, its width is too narrow to put the eggshell pad horizontally (unless we have some additional straps to reinforce the existing single top strap). if I have to bring an eggshell pad, I think I would prefer to put it vertically on the backpack's side (counter-balancing the large water bottle on the other side)

My favorite gear option is the iphone 5, lol. Otherwise good job on setup for a warmer-climate daytrip. Also, when going ultralight to this extent I would question the trek pole (ik it's prob part of the tent), trowel, and possibly-oversized power bank for a one-nighter trip. But you did get the weight down and obviously put considerable thought into the setup. Great job.

Great video, I'll definitely take away some lessons from it. My question to you, how do you live your tent? I checked out the manufacturers site. Looks life a fantastic and affordable alternative to a lot of Western UL companies.

the western products tbh still got better superiority in material quality & technology, but for use in my local/tropical weather, the tent is doing great 👍🏻

thank you! the brand (Monte) is often exporting their backpacks to overseas (Hongkong mostly), but I'm not sure about Europe. maybe you could reach their website at monteequipment.com or their instagram instagram.com/monteequipment/ 👍🏻

@@CikenstripDesk this brand is trash absolute garbage read the description of the packs they literally copied Hyperlite mountain gear. It’s pathetic you want to copy designs and push low quality products ok that’s one thing, but blatantly copying another company’s description word for word is just not right.
@CikenstripDesk
@CikenstripDesk 2 жыл бұрын
@@christianb8228 Well, very interesting & insightful facts/input. Most of those gear makers started from DIY & self-support community (back then, it was very hard/expensive to import UL gears as end-users here). But I think you're right, when it goes commercial they can't just adopt existing design blatantly (especially when surfaced/exposed to a non-local scene/media like my video.). Your enlightenment really tickled me to explore (looking for what imitating who) about this. Hopefully, I could reach out and discuss with those local gear makers, or at least for myself, these could be a reference for me, either I should choose another local brand (I still really want to use local brands instead of importing big names) or do a DIY/MYOG. Thank you Christian! 👍🏻

Tas 22L ini cocoknya untuk gunung yg banyak mata airnya yaa...?
@CikenstripDesk

Iya mas, setuju. Kalau sedikit mata air atau butuh bawa lebih dari 2 botol air mineral besar, saya biasanya switch ke yg 30L. Selain faktor beban, load space yg dipaksakan khawatir bikin tas terbebani/jebol 🙏🏻

I honestly don’t understand why so many people support companies like this. Save some money invest in some good gear that will last you many years of use and is designed and made with love by people who stand behind the product they are selling. Even if this pack is pretty good quality and nice or whatever, it’s still garbage, because of the integrity or lack there of of the company to copy another brand and to probably be in this business because exactly that it’s just a lucrative business to these people that’s pathetic to me and no matter what I can’t support a company like that and the products will always to me be garbage.

@@aurtisanminer2827 He's pissy that the pack manufacturer took a lot from Hyperlite design-wise. Being real dense about it too. If you've spent any time overseas, you'll see how difficult and EXPENSIVE the importation of UL big brands can be.
