How I Painted Abstract/ wall paint sample/ acrylic painting

Video documents artist Michael Pintar painting an abstract. Color ideas came from a Valspar paint guide anyone can pick up from their local home improvement store. This piece of original art is part of a series based on use of geometric shapes, primarily squares. Techniques and tools are shown. This is not a "how to" video but hopefully offers inspiration and ideas to other artists. The original is for sale as of April 9, 2022. Limited edition prints are also available.

I really enjoyed this. Just a tip for your editing. Find longer pieces of background music from KZbin Studio as the ones you have a short. I have painted something similar and people like the style. You inspire me, but wish you did more in oils

Thanks. My venture into abstract has been mostly with acrylics. Costs a bit more to fill a 36x36 canvas with oil. If I'm too lazy to put in voiceover I go with some music and they just don't provide 10 minute pieces.

I agree. Longer, maybe more subtle music would be nice. The current short pieces are distracting.

I wish to take your advice on the type of house paint ( matte, satin, egg shell, soft or high sheen,semi-gloss or gloss) which one of these will look good on canvas and have an universal appeal...? Your advice would be of great help... Thanks.

I don't use house paint, just used the paint chips for color ideas. All colors and actual painting were done with acrylics.
