I just figured it out. The reason I can't paint. Seeing you photo I figured, you have to be pretty to paint pretty. I'm a mess and that pretty much explains my painting too. Lol

I got it. I can make videos showing people , "How Not To Paint". Or just, "Don't". Lol

Thanks Michael, that’s not the rule though. How long have you been painting? Is your goal to paint pretty or to express yourself and learn? The more you paint the more you learn to paint what you want to, how you want to share your own way of seeing the world. I paint the strange, the mysterious, the comical as well as the pretty, and often my pretty view is not successful. Pretty is hard! Tell you what- on Facebook, send me a photo of your painting, on my art page link, and I can give you some ideas if you want. There is a link on this site, the art of Patricia Allingham carlson.

@@patriciaallinghamcarlson I think I'll watch you for a while longer. I only have one watercolor half way decent and if you shot that down I'd be crushed. Lol. I basically just started with drawing. But painting, ha. You put color on a canvas and you get a painting. I get a canvas with stain. But I'll keep trying. I'm grandpa Moses. Got a late start.

@@Lingchow1 I’m a teacher too. I don’t shoot down anyone’s efforts, ever. My own mother started painting watercolor at 65, and became a prize winner at shows, sold many works, and art became a source of joy to her life. Natural talent helps. Work put into it makes the biggest difference.
