I'm of the opinion that it really depends on the person. Ultimately it's about being committed to studying, staying the course and getting it done. I encourage anyone with CCP certification as a goal to do that until they get it. There is a lot of information to cover in one week. So unless you're really good at memorizing and have had hands on experience previously or are doing labs persistently I think one week is not very realistic. Again, IMO. Good luck to everyone!

Hi Du'An, I have the AWS Certified Cloud Solution Architect Associate, AWS Certified Developer Associate, AWS Certified Advanced Networking -Specialty certs . However , AWS would not hire me may be because for one, I don't have a security clearance and the other reason may be that the jobs they advertise are most likely given to someone who knows someone within AWS. .I spend a year of my life for nothing and it's so frustrating. I am not just a cert collector, i also had years of experience in operation environment . May be, they are biased against those who are Non-US born but naturalized US Citizens and with a foreign accent. At least this is my perception of AWS after having gone through 4 interviews with no offer at different level of their support organization. May be a certain group of people within AWS do not want diversity and do whatever it takes to do not give any new opportunity to outsiders. All I am saying is that there is a serious flaw with their hiring process in including diversity.

Hello, Du'An! Congrats on your CCP cert and thank you for sharing your experience! If you don't mind me asking, as I am a complete beginner and have now IT/Tech background, what are the prerequisites you would recommend I should have under my belt before I try and get my CCP cert? Thank you for your time and advice! God bless and take care!
@LabEveryday Жыл бұрын
None. Just do it. The CCP will teach you the foundational basics of AWS. The knowledge is very high level. But at least it gets you started. From there you can keep going to the SAA. As you learn pay attention to the areas you need to learn more about. Then fill in those gaps.

A huge congrats to you brother! I’m very happy for you🙌🏽 I’ve been wresting with the idea of going the cloud route but just not sure. Also I’ve been thinking of either AWS cloud practitioner exam or Comptia Cloud essentials to have a cloud base. I really want to get into automation and with that I want to gain Linux knowledge. I’ve learned that cloud, Linux and automation go hand in hand but I’m just not sure where to start. In your technical opinion which would you do first? And I’m also asking in general as others may need a little help too🙌🏽 And as usual great video and thank you for all you do for us👍🏽 Peace & Blessings

Nice do you recommend taking the comp tia cloud+ first ? Or its not necessary ?
@LabEveryday2 жыл бұрын
I have no recommendation on this. What I can say is, the Cloud+ is focused on a general understanding of what the cloud is. Rather than with AWS the focus is on understanding the cloud while building a foundational level of understanding of AWS and the services offered. I hope this helps you make an informed decision.

If so, can you share your experience? Also I work in support but was looking to transition into networking however I make 80k in support and I'm pretty sure a entry level networking gig will pay way less. What should I do, should I try to land an entry level networking gig thats pays less than my current salary or stay in support until I hopefully land a networking opportuntity that pays more? Thanks!
