Man, I just came here to watch a quick summary about CCSP and ended up subscribing to your channel. As a non-English speaker I've found your accent perfect and the details you share show the signs of a real professional. Thanks for your time giving value back to the community.

Cleared CCSP in the first attempt. Read 2 books (CCSP for dummies and CCSP CBK, in order) and solved all the questions of the official app. Reading through the books and not worrying about remembering but just understanding it well is enough. Solving all the 2000 questions of the official app will make sure you will pass. Also saw some videos of questions-answers on youtube. I can't stress enough how important is it to SOLVE QUESTIONS!! Solve at least 3000 questions before you sit for an exam. I guarantee you will pass.

I stumbled on this video (not sure what the right term is, anyway...) - really enjoyed it. Thank you for hitting home the point (really well!) on the author's work, and value. When I pick up yet another book in the next hour or two, I'll tackle it with even more appreciation - thanks to you. Oh, and for the record, I'm what you called a seasoned guy, with a couple of decades plus, a mathematican (currently tackling a PhD), was a software engineer & architect before moving to cyber; and yep, I got the full set from ISACA, and working on getting the full nine from ISC2 (the CCSP if successful will be number 6). I guess I just wanted to underscore that even after all these years of work and study, I still find "romanticism" in learning, the sacrifice in learning and that's why I want to thank you for the excellent video.

Transitioning active duty and veterans or military spouses who wish to follow in this gentleman's footsteps but don't know where to even begin with IT or Cyber Security should check out Onward to Opportunity (O2O) by the IVMF. They offer an ISC² pathway that will pay for your first test attempt.

Hey Jim thanks for that. I just passed CISSP last month and considering doing CCSP now. Good to see some older guys talking about this for a change! One question though should I take it even if I dont want to specialize in Cloud and be more of Cyber consultant/manager?

You are halfway there with CISSP. The CCSP will be easier. "OLDER GUY"??? Rather say more experienced !🙂

If you do know your stuff inside and out, from the silicon, networking, to the compilers and final apps, and follow best practices, it is not hard.

You don't need to know that for the exam at all, it's mostly a management cert with some technical stuff. Just passed a week ago, barely any technical stuff. Having said that, if you have a lot of work experience in IT/security it's not super hard

Why is a cliq a requirement for actually attaining the certification? Why not just the knowledge? A GOV clearance should be required along with these certs in order to do work on GOV systems, not also a membership to some group of people that might give you the nod.
@CableSupply4 жыл бұрын
The Government does require certs and clearances for some jobs.

The CISSP is Not an easy exam! When I took the exam decade ago, it was six hours long no break. I did go through all my answers, though at the time, and I was able to correct some misunderstandings that I had. It is a good CERT to have, but leans more towards the management of cyber security. The CISSP is definitely a management certification. the CISSP is good to be connected with network experience, such as Cisco, Certs, and general networking background. Thank you for watching the video I appreciate it.
