Just a Nucamp update. Nucamp recommends that you change the glycol fluid every 2 to 3 years. Doing it yourself saves you a bunch of time and money.

Liked the video and the solar setup. Have a small 265 amp hour Bluetti with a 100 watt fold up panel. Works great for the 12 volt electric blankets. Glad yo see you back of there.

That Bluetti EB3A is a good little unit, glad to see you’re using an electric blanket to stay warm, works better than trying to heat the whole camper! Put a goose down comforter on top and you’ll never be cold again! Thanks for watching 🏕️

Great video! I’m getting a 2023 tab 320 boondocks…had the same idea to use a bluetti AC180…and will drop a battle born lithium in front…wondering if the bluetti will top off the rv battery while it’s plugged into the 30amp receiver.

I have an AC180 You're right about air conditioning. It takes allot of power to run air. I do like the idea of Lithium batteries. It's a much better way to go and I'm considering piggybacking another AC180 to the one I have.. I've got 400 watts of solar and I've been happy with it so far.

Fantastic look see into how you make it all work. Thankyou, Great segment Sir !! I've often wondered, when do trailers like this come standard with a secondary "inside the camper" shore power outlet? During heavy rain, cold or high theft area concerns, having the option to put your thousands of dollars power station inside the camper would be safer and make sense.

2:41 I'm not sure exactly how you might have killed the initial battery that came with your tab, but im fairly certain it wasn't trying to turn on the Alde system on electric mode. The electric settings 1k ans 2K are for shore power, they never draw energy fir heat from the 12V system. The Alde system only uses 12V power for the control systems and pump. The heat is provided by either 120V AC power or propane.

I have a small 2019 Geo Pro 12 SRK, no air but a mic, 3 way fridge, hot water (propane, electric) Maxair fan, TV, stereo, 20 gallon fresh water, a 20,000 but furnace (way over kill) and a 6 gallon grey tank and no bathroom. I bring that with me. I have a 100 watt panel on the top, factory installed and a 90 watt suitcase on the ground with a 40 foot cable so I can move it around while I'm in the shade. I have 2 lead acid 12 volt group 24 with a total of 160 ah which I have 80 ah accessible. They say not to go below 50% charge on lead acid. These batteries are now 6 years old and still have 100% charge, I do maintenance on them regularly. Anyway, I do the same as you to allow me to go to out of the way places to camp. I have 3 solar gens, 2 - 1000 watt (1500 watt inverter) 1 - 2000 watt (2000 watt inverter). All combined I have 3600 watts of storage but you only get 2900 watts usable. I use the solar gens to run many different appliances like, air fryer, fans, electric smokers etc. It has a rear kitchen but I prefer to cook away from the camper as I mostly camp in bear country and they love the smell of bacon, lol. I use the lead acid batteries during the day and switch the battery disconnect on to isolate these batteries and plug in the solar gens during the night and have never come close to running out of power. I bring a 400 watt portable solar panel to pump up the solar gen batteries back to full everyday. I'm pushing near 70 yrs and I love the camping life. I live in northern Alberta, Canada and the mountains and country side are beautiful for sure. Thanks for the video, I like the spots you go to, alway nice. Take care and stay safe.

What type of converter did you install in your table 320. You're right about the solar panel that comes with it it's more of a trickle charger. We upgraded ours also with two battle born lithium 100 amp batteries. How about the refrigerator sure does eat up the batteries.

Great idea. I like the simplicity of how you handle the power needs. I assume when you plug in the Bluetti to your RV you would turn off the breaker to the RV's charger, so it doesn't drain it unnecessarily.

Thanks for watching and the great comment. When I killed my lead acid battery I tried the Bluetti trick to get out camping while I thought about what to do. I didn’t turn off any breakers and didn’t notice any large drain. Since I installed lithium & extra solar I only use the Bluetti when I need 110v to work in the camper. My solar is working so well my batteries are always full so again, no drain but now I want to try again when the batteries are not 100%. Thanks again, I will never stop learning, Happy Camping 🏕️

We have a 2019 320 that we Boondock in for several days at a time too. With a few modifications for off road, we can get to very remote locations. We utilize a portable Zamp 95w solar panel which allows us to place the trailer in the shade when available. We are both fortunate to have the 3-way refrigerators that we can run on propane. BTW, Trailer manufactures like NDC (probably our next trailer) and XPlore mount solar above their roofs on a frame. Solar panels are far more efficient at dissipating heat with air rather then a roof directly below them. Keep enjoying the desert with your T@B !

Hi. Just found your channel. I subscribed because it looks like you make videos for the beginner. A very concise video. Thanks. I also want to do some desert dispersed camping in the winter and the video answered some of my questions. I bought a Tag in 2020 and got the solar option; AGM battery, 100W flexible panel on roof, and wired to plug in more portable solar. One question I had is you said your heater works by plugging your solar generator into the shore power outlet. How much power does your heater draw? Is that where the two Battleborn batteries come into play? Now I’m thinking I need the battery upgrade to run that little ceramic heater the Tag came with. Am I correct in my assumption?

When the camper sits for a week or two, do you leave the system running or do you kill the power via the dial in the tub? Is there a way to turn off the refrigerator? Thanks

The latest on keeping your LiFePO4 lithium batteries alive for their longest time is to only charge them between 40% to 80 or 90%, so I just use a standard Iota battery charger, and charge my 100 amp hour to 14.2 volts most of the time. I can charge it to 14.6 volts if I want, but I'm experimenting with the lower voltage idea. With a lead acid battery, you could always charge it fully at a lower voltage of say 13.8 volts, but it would just take longer. I think lithium batteries are similar.

Are you talking about the camper converter? My understanding is most converters in rv’s are built for lead acid
@myshoeboxadventures
@myshoeboxadventures 7 ай бұрын
Yes, older converters are built for lead acid but they will charge your lithium up to 75 to 80 %. If you have solar panels and the sun is out they will charge the rest of the way to 100 %. I changed out my converter to one which charges lithium to 100 % so I’m covered in most situations. Thanks for watching and Happy Camping 🏕️

@@thecrow3461 You are so right! These 3 way fridges should only be used on shore power or propane, they pull about 140 watts. I’m currently using it for dry storage as I’ve put an ICECO GO 20 12v compressor fridge in the camper on the driver’s side bench seat. Thanks for watching!!!🏕️
