Joe, I know my opinion probably isn't worth much to you, but you have seriously earned my respect with all the great articles and video content you've released in the past year. I absolutely love seeing when you have uploaded a new 20-30 minute video or posted a new article on the forums. You love detailing and paint correction but your primary focus is on making customers happy and managing product costs so you can be as profitable as possible. You are a bright guy and I'm looking forward to more of your articles and videos in 2018. -matt woywod (mwoywod)

Thank you for the support, It means alot to me, I am a huge fan of long-throw machines, Infact I prefer my 21mm tools when I can use them, However you always need the 3401 in your arsenal, I use it for every detail. If i had to pick 2 tools only to use for my details it would be a 21mm long-throw and a 3401, Those 2 machines I can tackle pretty much anything. with the 3401 sometimes there is no need for a 3 inch.

At the same time I love my polisher too. But the stalling is very aggravating. I can counter the stall by turning the speed up, but certain times it just won’t turn.

Joe is an awesome guy. I met him at Mobile Tech Expo 2018 and spent some time looking at the McKee's 37 Products. I just started using a few of them prior to attending MTE. I am very impressed and will be purchasing a-lot more McKee's 37 Products. Joe is really knowledgable and can vet these products because he uses them on a daily bases out in the field.

I cannot stand polishing outside. Even if you can't see the dust, it's falling on the paint and it's counterproductive. For a quick job like this, it'll do, but trying to truly correct paint outside = worthless! With that said, Joe, you are the man! Truly respect your work!

I totally agree with your Mark. That is why I only offer paint enhancement (360 all in one shiner jobs) or wax/seal for mobile. Anytime a customer is willing to compensate for paint correction I always advise that it is done in the shop.

can you use the 360 all in pne on every maintencnce wash/once per month or is it overkill? Since i assume there isnt Cut in it , it should be fine to bring out shine every maintenance wash correct? also, after you clay bared it did you wipedown with isoproploy before you went into buffing the car with the flex 3401 ? thanks man great videos!

As we know Flex 3401 is forced rotation DA. So I guess some of the rotary techniques may apply with this polisher as well. Don't you think Flex 3401 would damage the edges if not protected properly (13:05 and 16:03 in the video)?
@NextLevelAutoDetail
@NextLevelAutoDetail 6 жыл бұрын
You never want to buff OVER any edge on any polisher. Even a porter cable at a certain speed and angle burn an edge. The door edge was completley flush with the side skirt. There was no danger whats so ever of me running the buffer over. I was not hitting a RAISED edge. You always want to work around a raised edge not over it.

Great video Joe how many pass do you do I've tried 360 direction say Worley til go clear what do you. Recommend
@NextLevelAutoDetail
@NextLevelAutoDetail 6 жыл бұрын
Thank You Mike! How many passes I do all factors in on my overall goal for the job, Sometimes I use 360 just like a paint sealant or a wax. You can do as many or as little passes as you want. It really depends on the amount of defects you want to remove. My rule of thumb is if you are willing to spend over 4-5 hours using a all in one, You might as well use a cutting polish and just "cut to the chase" But to answer your question. I usually will do about 3-4. Remember when I am using a all-in-one like 360 perfection or even near perfection is not my goal, It is to enhance the paint. So me doing 5-6 passes does not make sense in a time efficiency stand point. When you get the chance Mike, watch my other video that is on my channel, It is called "How to use a all in one 1 step polish to profit" I talk about arm speed and passes in that video also. Thanks for your support.

whats up brother! i was wondering about the red vinly racing stripes on the side of the car. Is it ok to polish , clay those wax etc? Ive heard conflicting ways on how to handle vinly/matt stripes in terms of washing or in this case protecting / polishing. Even on thick white stripes behind the car i notice you didnt polish them.

Luminositymusic well I’ll be finding out how good McKee’s products are...i was using their DP pr ducts before and they were decent. So far I’ve used their interior cleaner and protectant on my a6 and they work well...the protectant is perfect from the satin shine, smell, the way you slide on the leather to how it resists finger prints. We’ll see how the exterior stuff works.

can you go into detail on the porsche paint correction? what did you mean by sticky paint? was it because the the heat from the sun? also if the paint is much softer. wouldn't explaining to customer that the car will need to be taken to your own indoor personal shop to work on vs outside with the heat? and also what compound which you recommend for a car like porsche? i was planning to use porter cable plus griots garage fast correction cream.
@NextLevelAutoDetail
@NextLevelAutoDetail 6 жыл бұрын
Calvin Wong sticky paint has nothing to do with temperature. It’s called sticky because some paints respond differently making the polishing residue very hard to remove making the paint “sticky” The key to working with sticky paint is to not create a lot of heat. Heat causes the polish to have a baking affect on the paint making it hard to wipe off. The pc is a great tool because it does not create a lot of heat. As far as Porsche paint nobody on the internet can tell you what polish or procedure to use you have to test and determine that your self. If perfection is the goal I would concentrate on a compound fast correcting cream is great 👍🏻

So how do you prep? Do you do a rinseless wash then clay then AIO polish ?
@NextLevelAutoDetail
@NextLevelAutoDetail 6 жыл бұрын
jeremy sierra there’s no right and wrong answer. I chose a Rinseless wash cause the car wasn’t that dirty. If it was dirtier I would of went with a traditional wash. As far as claying goes that depends on the package the customer choose. If a customer just wants a quickie buff. And has a certain budget. I will use 360 as it has paint cleaners. So it’s going to clean polish and seal the panel. All in one step. If the customer is compensating for my time I would clay before certainly. It’s not about how much money you get it’s really depends on how much time you spend getting that money. If I tell you I made $100 bucks today detailing would you laugh and say I made nothing ? Well what if I told you I made that $100 on a 30 minute headlight restoration. Get it ! Adapt to the customers budget while giving them what their mainly concerned about.
