Recommendations - 1 - How to apply for interviews in big tech companies? (Off Campus) 2 - Preparation strategy for freshers 3 - How much college cgpa matters for interviews? What can one do if they have low cgpa and can't attend on campus interviews?
@curious_haldar4 жыл бұрын
1- Apply via office job portals and connections / referrals. 2- As told by the guy himself 3- College cgpa might matter in some companies while others might give more importance to your industry knowledge and experiences gained. As you grow up the ladder , cgpa has least importance. If you can't attend on campus interviews , then polish yourself and make your profile strong by handling teams and challenging projects. Showcase your skills and achievements publicly (LinkedIn for example). Try to reach out to some hiring manager via company jobs portal. Keep on trying and one day you might reach your destination ---- Cheers !!!

Hey Priyank, thanks for the insightful video. I have a question that almost bothered everyone in preparation. Your advice will be highly appreciated in this regard. The toughest part is picking the right questions and in the right order. Questions even in places like LeetCode are generally randomly placed even if they are grouped. This means that after solving a problem thoroughly, the next question always has a surprise challenge. Having too many surprises kills one's spirit of enthusiasm. This can be overcome only if we pick the right questions in the right order which gradually, instead of abruptly, trains the practitioner's problems solving without killing their spirit. Since you have listed a few recent questions from each topic for yourself, can you put them in ascending order of difficulty and share them and make a video on that if possible?

Hi, The content of the video is of great help and I really enjoyed the video. As someone like me who is on the onset of interview prep, what I have realized from my experience is that a lot of times the resume itself is not shortlisted in the screening even though the candidate has proper knowledge. Does the college from which you graduated play a part in that? It will be great if you can throw some light on this part. Not a whole video is required for it though.

Great content! If possible, please try to answer on how one can apply to FAANG companies so that the person actually gets called for an interview. Because many candidates will be filtered out at the initial screening process. Based on your experience, what is the avg work experience required and is there anything that recruiter specifically looks in a candidate which helps the candidate to pass through the screening process and actually land an interview at FAANG?

Google doesn't care if you're an IIT-ian or not. They don't even care if you have a college degree on a few occasions, instead they are curious to learn about your skills and ability to learn on work. Your work experiences acquired through both professional and personal projects could really be useful.
@prateekkatiyar95324 жыл бұрын
@@Akashpagol They say something and do something else. If they receive millions of applications, then how will they filter them? Obviously based on college.
@Akashpagol4 жыл бұрын
@@prateekkatiyar9532 That's what you would think. Google wants to hire people who know their craft. They are more interested in your github link than your college name. @@ShubhamSingh-re1tr I would recommend Creating a schedule. Do practice DSA questions everyday. Before starting practice, learn about implementation, usages, and complexties of generic algorithms and data structures. For language, I would recommend Java and C++ because there are widely used on all platforms and MCQ output questions may contain concepts from these. However, you may use any other language which you are comfortable in. For development, you can either start by searching for simple topics, or I recommend connecting with a mentor to give you feedback on your work. Do brush up your skills on fundamentals. These come in handy.
