I wish to have 35 acres with a mountain stream running through it, but when you can't get exactly what you want. You make do with what you can have. I have grown Spirit Forest by one more acre. I tell the story of how I went about in contacting my neighbor and asking if he was willing to sell his land to me.

Buying the land is the best thing you could have ever done. That way you and your children will always have a home. And there are lots of ways to make money on your land. I got my land three yrs ago. And I feel so happy every time I look at it. I am in Tennessee. Your place is beautiful! Enjoy it , God bless you!

I just found your videos tonight and havr already watched quite a few. I am a huge outdoors gal and also a single mom. I own 6.5 acres up north that has a home on it and i currently live down south. This channel has just opened my eyes to what i might be able to do. I hope to hace a small tent or cabin on a small piece of land in the mountains. Thank you for showing me dreams do come true and to never give up! I hope one day i can be making a video similar to this. I know how you feel about the land and being so connected to it, my wife and I bought a small house on 4.5 acres on top of a small mountain in Mass. just off the AT and we love it. YEA!.Owning your own spot of land is just....AWESOME. I recently did the same down in southern Colorado. Same as you, cash. No feeling like that in the world. Last I knew they weren't making any more land. It truly is home. :)

Hi Spirit, Good to know that you have added another acre to spirit forest. This means that you and the girls will have to add to the trails. That in itself is going to be fun. New Trail signs and new horizons to view while enjoying the beauty of the Rockies. So much work to do to prepare for spring. I hope that some of your friends can help with the burdens. I know Todd and Triumph Screen printing will help but it would be nice to know that some of your neighbors were helping to support you in your journey to teach others to feel safe and secure in nature. It's a beautiful thing that you are doing and I am just glad that you take the time and effort to video your experiences so that we can enjoy and learn in the process. I love the trees. It is why I purchased the land I did. Lots of trees. They are old spirits and they have their own story. I would like to build on my property one day, but have a hard time thinking of the trees I would have to cut down to do so. I hope you do the same thing over there.. Really happy for you. One thing you said that sums up this video nicely is "This is my tree." So I can completely identify with you. I can also identify with your 35 acres with a stream dream.The land my wife was raised on is for sale. It's 80 acres in the middle of the most beautiful wilderness I've ever seen, with a cabin right in the middle. My wife and I hiked half of it and had to cross a gorgeous trout stream six times. To say I want this for us is ridiculously understated.

I loved this video (too!!) I bought a house in the SW Pennsylvania mountains 14 years ago with my (then) husband as well as an 8-acre parcel of land (with a pond and 500 ft on a creek--yaay!!) across the road that I arranged a land agreement with the same owners (as the house) on. When my ex left 8½ yrs ago, I got into a bit of a financial bind and wound up losing the house... But alas, I continued to pay off the land and it has been mine now for 9 years!! It is in my name and as I recently got my credit back together from a long, hard road, I was going to purchase another house but have recently been really wanting to develop my piece of land and possibly build a house on it. For now, my 12 y/o son and I tent camp & fish on it. Your videos have given me such inspiration!! Thank you!! I will continue to follow your journey. Peace n blessings!!

That’s exciting that you were able to made it happen..yea ! Good deal bypassing the Agent. Keep that excitement in yer heart always. Try to see if you can Combine the 2 parcels into 1. Should reduce taxes. But then you may not be able to sell/split them separately for 10 yrs. I love 💕 your excitement, it’s rather catchy. I still get chills when I go to my property. 30 yrs now.

Thank you!!! I have thought about combining the 2 parcels, but probably doesn't make sense unless I build there. I asked the county about taxes and there is no tax break with combining. I am so excited.. :) I have always wanted to do this.. with 30 acres.. but 2 will do, and I am still happy.

Congratulations on your purchase of the property. I am excited just hearing your excitement. It has been a lifelong dream of mine and I'm older than you to own land acreage wooded land. I am just in the process of trying to close a deal on some acreage here in Georgia. It is beautiful rolling Hillside with Rich tops wooded land with Oaks Pines Magnolias. Wildlife include whitetail deer, turkey, squirrels raccoons Fox coyotes black beer. So I feel your excitement. Hopefully in a month my bill will be closed but every time I go to visit the land I also fuel in all when I look at the trees The Towering Pines in massive Oaks and I look out over the range of mountains that surround me. Congratulations on your purchase and on growing your acreage and your dream. Very wise to cut out the agents, many people don't know how much they can do on their own. 35 acres may be a little over-reach; I do hope to see you at 5 acres (keep saving, an economic downtown happens about every 9-12 years); 5 acres is manageable, maintenance-wise. I have 1/2 acre in the city (Los Angeles) which is enough for me, since work takes so much of my time. Suggestion for your pathways: import a dump truck (10 cubic yards) of decomposed granite and use it to build trails. It should be easily obtained in Colorado. It's pretty easy to spread and pack. You see it on many trails here in California. Wishing you continued happiness.

Spirit Forest, the really good stuff can be pricey, $70-$100/yard, but where there’s excavation for mountain-community building (example in my town is Hollywood Hills area) the dumptruck operators give it away free, plus hauling fee. I just got 3 truckloads (33 yards) for $300. Check out Craig’s List in your area.

I just saw this videos for the first time. If my life was different,I’d love to buy the four acres and enjoy the area or actually live there. I always loved the woods, wild life and scenery . When I was camping I’d always sit quietly and listen to the forest. I think those were the best days no my life.
