Thank you so much for the tutorial. I recently broke my wrist and had to have very complicated surgery so I am trying to learn how to be more independent and not rely on my husband for everything. I've made a lot of progress, but doing anything with my hair has been difficult. Really appreciate that you are helping the rest of us be more independent.

I'm a dude with long hair that just has a broken shoulder. They repaired it in surgery with screws and pins but my left arm is completely immobilized for six weeks. I can't imagine the strength and patients it must take to live this way. Also, thanks for doing this video. I nailed this first try. I was tired of asking for help and everyone was tired of me asking. And that was just a few days. Living like this... I dunno how anyone could do it. It's impressive and admirable.

Incredible, what you are doing with your channel.

This is v appreciated I’m a double above elbow from birth n I just managed a slight messy but decent looking bun for the first time within 10 minutes using my foot in replacement of the hand to gather the hair. I’ve only ever seen tutorials by people with a partial limb usually below elbow and one hand together so is too complicated for my two partial arms and my feet to manage anything more than a tuggy knot in my hair that looks like I’ve been dragged through a bush backwards 😂💕Hopefully with practice I can manage putting it as a pony and not looking messy 💕 Thank you ☺️💞

I just recently cut a tendon on the top of my finger causing a crap ton of problems leading to surgery that is keeping me in a large cast for the next 2 or so months. I woke up this morning (yesterday was surgery) realizing I didn't know how I was going to put my very long, wavy, and wildly thick hair up in a pony out of my face. The things I take for granted everyday I now need to learn how to do differently. I've always had a high regard and respect for anyone who had/s to re/learn to do something as "simple" as hair or dressing..... but I have a completely different and slightly personal respect for anyone in this regard now. Thank you for being here to help my temporary condition. ❤ If we didn't have you and others in similarly permanent "situations" (I couldn't find a word that more accurately and respectfully articulated what I was trying to portray) people like me who take advantage of our abilities to do "the small stuff" wouldn't know how to overcome these barriers. You give back more than you think and more than some probably deserve. ❤

Wow thank you so much for sharing this. Way different situation but 2 years ago I had a frozen right shoulder. I was in excruciating pain and did PT 3 times a week for 6 months. Not being able to move my shoulder at all and not being able to brush my hair with my dominant hand let alone do a ponytail was so frustrating! Your technique makes it look so simple. Just found your channel! Thank you for sharing.

I have never taken the time to comment on a youtube video and I don't know if you still read these- but in 2015 I lost use of a lot of my left side after a whole bunch of childhood brain cancer and I am 21 now and have stood by that there is some way to do everything in this world one-handed except put up your hair accurately (mine is fluffy and curly so the suave pull through methods are way trickier) but I just found this video and gave myself my first high-pony by myself since I was 17---better than Christmas, thank you so much

I just had my entire left arm put in a cast today after breaking my Radius and Radius Head Skateboarding. Was thinking about getting my hair chopped tomorrow as I couldn't figure out how on Earth I could tie it up with one hand and can't stand wearing my long locks down in the heat of Auckland summer. You brightened my crappy day and inspired me to keep my lovely long hair. Thank you and good luck with your channel Megan. Peace.

Thanks so much! I recently broke my arm and have been having so much trouble with every little thing that I didn’t realise would be so difficult with only one arm. I am realising how lucky I really am that my arm is only broken. I would not last a minute living like someone as strong as you. Thank you for this and thank you for being you ❤️

Thank you so much! I have a frozen shoulder and cannot currently lift my right arm to the back of my head. I just followed your wall tutorial with my left arm and tied my hair up on my own for the first time in weeks! It is a bit messy but I know it will improve with practice. Thank you for helping me regain some independence.

Brilliant! I broke my arm 8 years ago, classic-length mischievous hair, I honestly thought I would have to cut 3 feet off! I found videos that helped me get through the 6 week cast. Your system is way better than what I had found. Who knows how many you are helping. Thank you!

Hi Megan, I recently had an accident which severed my nerves/tendons in my right (dominant) hand and has rendered it unable to do pretty much anything, although in some years time I will be able to use it again, I was having some trouble adapting to a new reality of only having use of one arm for a while, causing a deep depression. So I started youtubing how to do things with only one arm/hand I came across your channel, and might I say that your constant positivity is absolutely inspiring. I have learnt so much from you it's incredible and I'd just like to thank you for that. You are a very down to earth woman and it's so refreshing. Thank you for making the content you make. It has helped me beyond words

this today was absolutely astounding! The founding! I've been trying to figure out a way to put my hair up for a really long time and looked at multiple KZbin videos and never really found a way to do it because they all seem kind of hard and took a lot of technique yours I was able to do it the first time and do it right the first time and it makes my life so much easier I lost use of my left arm when I got in a four-wheeler accident.. love this video thank you so much

OMG!! 😭😂 THANK YOU FOR THIS!! I just had shoulder surgery earlier today and I was thinking to myself how in the hell am I going to get my hair up in a high bun with one hand!? I’m home alone right now and it’s driving me nuts that my hair tie came out so I decided to google it since everything seems to be on the Internet these days. Lo and behold, I found your video and I am so incredibly grateful to you right now! 😂 Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

YOU ARE AMAZING! Thank you for posting this video. You’re such an inspiration to me. I had a massive stroke on 8/8/05 that paralyzed my left arm & hand. 18+ years later I still haven’t figured out how to do a ponytail using only my right arm/hand. Your video is SO helpful so THANK YOU for taking the time to make this video & post it. YOU ARE AMAZING!

I appreciate this so much I dislocated my elbow at work the other day and have nerve damage can’t really move very much and one of the biggest things being in California right now is that it’s hot and I was constantly upset about how I can’t put my own hair up into a ponytail and I’m not very comfortable with other people touching me and then I came across your video and it changed everything I just want you to know that that helps me get through my day now knowing that there are ways to do things and there are people out there to help whether there are in front of you or not I can’t imagine the struggles you go through but I see your strength. ☺️
