Thanks again Julia for another great video. I watched another of your videos earlier in the year that recommended the Rio for Globalist and it has worked great for keeping my Globalist for another year! Keep up the great work! 🙌🏼

Great video! Even cash stays of $200 are out of our league which is why we do points but I LOVE watching others get status.
@geobreezetravelАй бұрын
for sure! points can be a huge money saver, especially with Hyatt hotels which don't have any taxes or fees

Are you using another credit card for American Airlines to get the status or using Hyatt credit card? Or some other way??

I have an AA co branded card for earning spend towards AA status.

How has the experience difference been between being Marriott platinum and titanium? I'm not sure if I should care...
@geobreezetravelАй бұрын
I think for most people, Platinum is just fine since you get free breakfast with that. I just go for Titanium because it's easy enough for me to do so with how much I travel, but I don't think I'd recommend it for the average person who just does one big trip per year.

Hi, I have best western status and Hyatt but I don’t know how to match hotel chain in Vegas, any advice will be appreciated
@geobreezetravelАй бұрын
I'd recommend signing up for statusmatch.com and checking statusmatcher.com. Hyatt won't match to Vegas chains (you'd need Wyndham for that), but I think it opens up a few other status opportunities.

I’ve noticed higher rates at Rio lately, have you still been able to get the $41 rate? Yes I’m excluding resort fees. Maybe last minute?

@@WhatsThePoints1 I booked a ton of nights back in May. They likely increased pricing lately

Im wondering how long it took you in 2024 to "lock in" Titanium status for 2025? Once you hit the 75 night threshold, that locks you in for all of 2025? I guess it makes sense since im a mere silver elite and once i hit my 10 nights i lock in sliver elite for all of the nxt year😅 Do you get those " automatic" elite nights every yr that you hold the two AmEx cards? It seems that those chasing lifetime Titanium would take a good 5+ yrs to get there and who knows what changes Marriott would make to the program in those ensuing yrs😮 thanks for the great content! Oh and Im a big fan of a local stay-cation/mattress run when the prices make sense....and yes, i too collect the shampoos and soaps!

I think I met the threshold when we were in Belgium, so around June 2024. And yes, in January I start the year with 40 elite nights because I have the 2 cards. I don't really go for lifetime status, I just renew the statuses each year that I find worthwhile/ low-hanging fruit.

I concentrate all my efforts on Hyatt because these other hotel brands seem too expensive pointswise.

Hyatt points are super valuable! The other one that I'd look into is Choice hotels if you plan to visit northern Europe or Japan anytime soon. The rest of them, I find the most valuable part is the free night certificates.
