I felt exactly the same when I moved out 2.5 years ago - I’m so close to my parents and have never lived anywhere but home, but if anything I’d say we’re even closer now, I still see or speak to them every day and love having my own little home with my dog and partner with our baby boy on the way in August - it’s the best of both worlds 🥰 I promise you will be absolutely fine!

I first moved out just before I turned 21. I moved in with my boyfriend at the time into a rented flat and I DREADED it. Much like you it made me feel "grown up" and I didnt want to leave my mum. 6 months later my relationship ended (lol we don't talk about that) and my mum asked me if I wanted to move back in with her and I actually said no! Even though it had only been 6 months I was SO used to my own space by that point. Trust me it's so scary but it quickly becomes your home and you will love it. I stayed in my flat on my own, with my cat for another 5 years. Now, 8years later (I'm 29 now) I'm now in a 3 bedroom, mortgaged home with my now husband and our 3 pets and I still wouldn't change that initial moving out period, even with it including the wrong person, because it honestly taught me so much about who I was as a person and I'm now loving my settled, family era. You will thrive, I promise! ❤

Moving out was super difficult for me too as I’m also very close to my parents. For awhile I had a pit in my stomach every time I left their house and overthought the whole thing but it sincerely gets better. It’s helped me grow as a person so much and gain independence. I still chat with them every single day and frequently visit since they’re my comfort. Sending all the positive vibes ❤ 🥦

I’m also renovating a house and will be moving out by myself in a few months and I’m dreading it. The closer it gets the more I don’t want to go and I’m 32 😂 but like you I’ve also never been to uni or lived anywhere by myself and I’m the last to move out so also feel guilty on my mum and dad for leaving them. It’s so weird isn’t it but I’m sure we will both be perfectly fine! Also that sign you made looks amazing 💜

It’s very normal! Watching you through this process has helped me so much. Good luck to us both! And thank you xxx 🥦

Glad the house is all coming together. 100% best decision where the gas hob is concerned. We kept our gas hob for a multitude of reasons but importantly if you have a power it we can still cook or make tea / coffee. I felt the same moving out of my family home. In the space of 9 months I was married and moved house so was a whirlwind. But remember that they are only round the corner helps, plus once you are in you will love your home so much. You’ll make new memories in your new home, parents will be there still to support you and pop over for cuppa teas etc. I bet you’ll find you’ll see your parents even more when moving out than living at home. Trust me you will definitely feel better when you are settled in your home and made it your own. X

I was also SO nervous to move out - I'd lived at home until 21 and I was and still am so so close to my Mum; honestly, moving out actually strengthened our relationship. The first night hit me hard so maybe be prepared for that, but you've just gotta keep pushing. The feeling of freedom and just having your own space is so worth it and I feel even closer with my mum having time away too! So don't worry about growing apart, etc, bc that won't happen!

Here I am again 😂..just watched the rest 🥦. I moved out at 20, from sunny Leicester to Athens,Greece. It was for work but many years later I'm still here with 3 cherubs. It was extremely difficult moving out but it was originally just for a couple of months. I still get homesick but that's because I can't just pop over for a cuppa, so literally take comfort that you can still spend alot of quality time with your parents my love. I have to wait for Summer and Christmas to do that. I'm sending you a massive hug. But like I said in my previous message, feel the emotions but trust the process. You WILL adapt I promise ❤

I moved out 6 months ago, age of 24. Honestly felt the exact same as it’s such a scary transition. However now living with my boyfriend feels like the most natural thing! I feel that extra level of productivity too. Such a big step can feel like this is what was meant to happen❤️ you will feel the same and you’ll be proud of you home, as I’m sure you are already. I’ve been moved out and living with my boyfriend (now fiance) since I was 22 (I’m 26 now) and there’s truly nothing better than having our own space. I do miss my family, but I often have to remind myself that this is just part of growing up. I’ve also always wanted to be a mum and have my own family, so moving out felt like the start of that part of my life, and I am SO happy living in my own space. You’ll get there! 🩷

I love your videos. Me and my boyfriend just bought a house. He has been renting on his own and I am still at home now. I plan to move in this year once we become engaged but I feel exactly how you feel. My heart ties to home make it hard to accept those feelings of being out of my family home. It’s definitely a bittersweet thought and feeling. But I am so happy for you and cannot wait to see where life takes you in the near future! 💜✨🎀

I now feel so settled and love the total independence but it is definitely a roller coaster!!!

My doctor recommended I take my normal high dose meds in the morning and then when I feel it wearing off; take a Benadryl - it’s worked so well for me. She also said to take an ibuprofen with the pills and a mini steamer (home bargains). I feel so much better! Please don’t worry about moving out, I see my parents regularly and we are so much closer now than before xx

The house is looking amazing Hannah! I can totally relate to the scary side of moving out. I'm 25 in a couple of weeks and brought my first home in November and actually moved up north 3 hours away from my hometown, mum etc. If you'd have told me that just 2 years ago i'd have laughed 😳 but my sister lives in the same village and I've settled a lot better than I thought! Even very recently I've felt that "dread" feeling of missing my childhood bedroom and home in general and accepting that that chapter is closed now. But it is so refreshing to finally start your own family home and put your stamp on everything. I would say just to take each day as it comes and really take it all in at your own pace ☺️Xx

Had to comment so I can document how I feel and look back. I got the keys with my boyfriend to our very first house last Friday. I feel so strange because half of me is buzzing and the rest is sad and feels so strange. The mix of routine and house and not having my parents or my cat everyday around me is difficult but the investment of living with my boyfriend is so worth it. I also really struggle with change, I can’t cope with it and become really down and numb but I know it will pass it’s just so weird but reading these comments and your message is so nice and comforting you have no idea 🤍🤍

Moved out almost a year ago now and it was definitely a huge change leaving my parents - I probably felt quite sad for the first 2 weeks as I am so close to my parents and not seeing them everyday was tough. After about a month everything began to fall more into place, developed a routine and for sure felt so much more settled in. So yes it is hard at first but trust me you won’t regret gaining more independence and enjoying life with your boyfriend ❤

we love a long vlog! So nice to see the house progressing so much! I am from France, I first moved out to go to uni but spent 1 year living with my brother and we were going back home every weekend; then 2 years on my own but still going back home every weekend, so it didn't really feel like moving out. After that it got a bit more hectic! I moved to Croatia for 6 months to study abroad and yes it was scary at first (new country, don't know the language) but I really liked it - it was Covid time too so I spent most of my 6 months at home!. Then I moved back to France but went 8 hours away from home for my studies for about a year, and then moved to the UK, where I am still now (it's been almost three years). Moving out is a big thing but when you know why you do it, I feel like it gets easier. It's still hard sometimes to leave my parents after visiting them as now that I get older I see them get older too, and not being by their sides can be upsetting - but we talk everyday! I also don't like change at all yet my life has changed a lot in the past few years, so you'll get through it too! It's all about finding a balance and adapting to your new lifestyle. Have a great Sunday Han! 🥦

I moved out 2 months ago and I thought I would feel exactly as you described as I am so close with my mum. I was surprised that it felt nowhere near as bad as I thought it would. We got the keys for our house a few weeks before we actually moved in and my mum was so involved in the mini renovations and moving which was a great experience. On the day we “moved in” was actually by accident and didn’t feel like a big deal at all. We moved our bed and then realised that meant we had to stay. I think this is the main reason that it didn’t feel so bad, because we didn’t make a big deal of it. There was no sad goodbyes, just I’ll see you tomorrow as I knew she would be coming to help us with the rest of what we had to do. I think you just need to let yourself feel how you are going to feel and hopefully it won’t be as hard as you think 🤍

It’s not exactly the same thing, but I moved out to uni when I just turned 18. I moved 2hrs away and because I did healthcare I didn’t have that many holidays when I could go back home and visit my family. When I first moved to uni I really struggled and cried for the first month, so how you’re feeling is perfectly normal I promise. I finished uni and moved into a shared flat, bit closer to home this time though. But by this point I was so used to not living at home I didn’t find it as hard. I guess what I’m trying to stay is it does get easier - it’ll be hard at first but you’ll get used to your new way of living even if it does take a while. And there’s no right or wrong way to be feeling, everyone feels and reacts differently so please don’t beat yourself up if you’re upset or struggling! And the fact you feel upset is a true testament to your parents and your relationship with them. The wire letting looks amazing btw! Sending you huge love 🫶xx

I HATE DESPISE my electric hob! So dangerous with kids also as they stay hot for ages. 100000% gas hob for the win

Don't need to waste your money on expensive skin treatment. Use a base of coconut oil and finish with Vaseline. If you have really bad skin problems take blackcurrant seed oil supplement and vitamin D (get outdoors take some sun rays ☀️ and if necessary supplement vitamin D). Avoid make up and for ultimate good skin better your overall health doing keto diet 😊 carbs are no good for skin issues and in some cases dairy aren't good as well.
