How I rooted my nabi big tab 24" HD

I used kingo root to root the nabi tab.
When it's done rooting you may have to perform a (delete data/factory reset)
By powering down and holding the volume button and power button to access the reset menu.
Afterwards, download titanium backup and delete apps, but make sure your app list maches my list or you might f@#$ your tab up.
Then download square home launcher and make it your home launcher.

Holy shit dude! I cannot believe I found this video. My daughter's big tab has been giving me so much crap lately so I thought about rooting it which is why i ran into this video. But you know what was golden to me? Your tidbit about the Play Store! My apps have been quitting and I swore it was one of Googles apps... I just couldn't peg it. Thank you so much! I got the 20 inch Nabi. I had to do the factory reset to deal with the play store related freezing issue. I was going to root it as well, but once the freezing problem was gone...well I was all about surfing Netflix and Hulu for things to watch. To an older guy who used to own tape recorders, 8 track tapes and a beta max when he was a kid.. a device like this is fairly remarkable with all it can do

So, my nabi is stuck on trying to talk to the FUHU Server. How can I root this? I really just want to use google chrome. I do not really care but other APPS as my sole purpose is to use it as My Dart Scorer. I use Dart Connect. Help!

Work Great, only issue I came across, is when I tried to download some older game apps it now tells me " Your device is not compatible with this version". Also when I enter titanium a warning comes up stating " your system settings may cause problems...." it tells me to check USB Debugging. However I can't seem to find it anywhere in settings. Any ideas as to how to solve these problems?

I only see one thing wrong here. You mentioned not signing into the Play Store, but how are we supposed to get access to Superuser and the Launcher and titanium backup apps because you have to sign in to download apps

I have been fighting my nabi big tab for a year now over the force close. Sence Mattel bought nabi they killed support. They all force close everything. I'm not entirely sure how to remove and install a newer version of play store to fix the issue. Could you post or make a fix? Pretty sure the video would get views if you made it.

See my answer above. You should be able to fix by doing a system reset and disabling NFC.

Excellent vid man! Would you know how to update them mines is stuck on 4.2.2 and when I try to watch videos on KZbin, Netflix or even showbox it'll freeze and either the device will reboot itself or it'll force close Not sure if it's the update it's needed which I checked and it says it has the latest version Maybe it could be something else any ideas? Really appreciate it champ thanks

This issue affects all Big Tabs, it's related to an update that was pushed out. In order to fix, you need to do a factory reset of the tablet -- instructions for this are available on the Nabi site. During the initial setup, do NOT login to your Google account. You can connect to wifi, however. Once you've gotten to the home screen, go into the settings menu and check the box to disable the NFC functionality. After that, you can login to your Google account and the Play Store and let it do it's updates. Do NOT re-enable NFC, or you will have this problem again.

but I will say this. I watched the your videos and was able to successfully root the nabi tab hd 24 using the root app. the first time around all my apps just kept force closing. Then I took your advice on not updating any of the apps and not even the Google Play store and now all my apps work fine and with root acces
