Love this! Relatively random chopping has been my preferred method. You can get some really interesting rhythms that way that feels more unique

Man! That’s amazing. I love your videos even I don’t make hip hop too much. I make experimental house and techno but I use Koala in similar way. Just freestyling with sample editing. I have lots of gear. Too much probably. But I’m coming back to koala very often for its simplicity and power. Thank you

From 1:36 for 44 seconds you explain your whole approach, modus operandi, and philosophy to taking cuts and in turn reveal an important aspect to your sound. Although recently I think you may have two 'sounds' and they still both have a NervousCook$ vibe. I hope you're well, mate. 👋🕊️

@@thekeysman6760 I’m glad it comes across. It’s not easy when you’re making the content without editing to know if what you’re trying to say is clear. I always assume because it’s relatively simple that people can follow what’s happening in RAW beats but this question keeps popping up. I’m hoping it helps a few people out. Clever idea with the efx + delay , nice stuff... Hey, you seem to have great grasp on koala and music, I was wondering, have you in the past, or would you in the future, consider showing how one could do Dub Reggae within the Koala sampler discipline & realm ? I think i have a fre ideas, but you are really clever and probably have more ideas than i could ...

This is really close , if not identical to one of methods of sampling , Thanks for posting this, this is great and inspiring too Koala sampler , IMO, is one of the ways music making will ultimately start heading towards.. and the Koala Beatcast and KFC community is one of the best i know on internet . Thank god for music and tools like this!

Hello. You have super useful videos on your channel about sp 404 mk2. Your videos have explained a lot of things to me. Currently I am wondering about one thing, namely monitoring the volume of samples (I do not mean monitoring the recorded sound, because I know this topic because you recorded a video about it). How do you monitor the volume of samples (kick, snare, hit, sample loop) that are already imported from the sd card? Do you do it using your ear or do you have sp 404mk2 connected to some other device with db visualization, some db meter? PEACE

I did both your series and thanks for that. I am wondering if I should keep my SP-404? Koala seems almost more capable of everything.
@nervouscooks2 ай бұрын
@@jayc9184 a common question and one I considered myself, but I do love my SP and it makes a great companion to most of my other samplers. I love the range and sound of the FX so I keep mine for that. 👍🙂

I saw a guy on another channel who keeps his only as a keepsake at this point. Because Koala has pretty much replaced it. An expensive paperweight. But also a connection to simpler times and the nostalgia for real gear. Much in the same way I would rather have an actual violin than a violin app. But then again I don't have the years and patience it would take to learn how to play a real one as well as i would like. So there's that, too.

Hey brother, do you think you can do a trap type beat tutorial for koala? I’m trying to diversify my sound aside from boom bap and R&B.
@naim37062 ай бұрын
Would be great if you show to us, how you mix your stems in the daw, for a boombap old.vibe, even with some voices, im curios about the final result, if you want to achieve a final song with all the elements, and what koala can offer you for make that pourpose.

Is that Koala Sampler on an iPad? I've had a go at using it on my phone but I find the screen a bit too compact for chopping and editing. Is it better on iPad than on an Android tablet?

Real real can make a whole beat with a single tone and if it records samples, it can make it beat.
