Thank you this was very helpful. My glitter was still poky after the resin dried on my cup and i didn't know if i can sand it again i was scared that if i sand it again it would stay foggy even after doing another resin coat so this answered my questions thank you i will give it a shot.

TFS! One question: is it better to place decal on the sanded cup rather than over a coat of epoxy? TIA

I’m sorry could you tell me what grit sand paper you use?
@dawnmariefrank19284 жыл бұрын
Love this. Do you always need to sand the tumbler?
@CrazyCraftyChaos4 жыл бұрын
Nope. Only if you have a lot of air bubbles are use a heavier glitter. Most of the time I use extra fine glitter just to avoid having to sand it. I’m starting a pink cup today and hopefully I won’t have to sand it. You can also put a really think or multiple layers of resin to avoid sanding but that’s extra expenses and time.

I have so many questions! Lol Do you have an Instagram for your crafts? Also where did you get your really cute Turner from?
@CrazyCraftyChaos4 жыл бұрын
I do! There’s not much on it. I think it’s in the description box. It’s the same as the channel name. I got it off amazon. It’s like $20-25. I can try to find a link to it! And ask all the questions you want!

I sanded with 180 and think I have messed up the cup. I am seeing only the scratches from the paper. How do I fix it?
@CrazyCraftyChaos3 жыл бұрын
The scratches should fill in with epoxy and leave a smooth surface with the next layer. Maybe I’m not understanding the problem. But mine usually looks pretty destroyed before the final layer of epoxy
@juliarochester5843 жыл бұрын
@@CrazyCraftyChaos ok thank you for responding. It looks so horrible that I thought the scratches would still be seen even if I added another coat of epoxy.
@CrazyCraftyChaos3 жыл бұрын
@@juliarochester584 as long as you didn’t scratch up the glitter itself you should be ok. Wash all the dust off and put on more epoxy. Should look shiny and nice!

You really shouldn't be putting resin down the drain as it is basically plastic and then you are just washing micro plastics down the drain which then get into the ground and can get into water sources in our own drinking water. No, hate at all just letting you know.
