The most I been able to save is 10k and I can’t seem to make it to 15k for some reason but I’m about to buckle down this year.

Congratulations!!!!! I cancelled two subscriptions January 2021. I transferred the money every morning last year into a sinking fund and used it to do my Christmas shopping in December. Yesssss my $4.99 bottle of wine totally does the trick🤩 Again, CONGRATULATIONS 🎈🎊🍾🎉

Sometimes the cheaper bottles hit just as well hahahaha! 🤪 So proud you're cutting out subscriptions you don't need - easiest way to save extra money!! 👏🏾

These are great realistic tips ✨ I basically do/did all of these things to some degree, and they work! Paying yourself first is my favorite hack. Your savings grow automatically, and you know how much money you're free to spend.

I need to learn more about investing. One way I have saved money is by living in a rural area. It has prevented me from going out shopping and eating out all of the time (as if I lived in an urban/suburban area). I buy most of my clothes from thrift stores, yard sales, and discount stores. I moderately invest in shoes (that will last me 6 months to a year). Great tips. Thank You.

Thank you babe🥺 I need to have a no-buy, eat-in, no postmates, no sushi month (or few months soon)! I always save so much more when I'm basically a hermit and don't leave the house 😂

I’m moving again next month as a way to at least reduce/maintain my rent. I LOVE living on my own, and I tested the idea of moving back with my parents and HATED it😂. My complex raised the rent by like $300- that’s 3,600 I can save by struggling for a few days to move.
@tanicha2 жыл бұрын
LOL oh girl! That's why I said "when I first graduated". Now there's nooooo going back for me HAHAH! Moving sucks but saving that extra money will be SOO worth it👏🏾

Top tips for me is investing in products that save you money in the long run. I bought an €80 milk foamer that makes lattes the exact way I like it so I never spend money on coffee out of the house any more. Probably saves me about €1500 a year. I also walk pretty much everywhere which saves a lot of money on transport.

Living with your parents should be normalised !! In Ireland (particularly Dublin) we have a housing crisis and rent is insane. No one who's from Dublin moves out if they're going to college in Dublin. I just moved out of my mom's house at 25 and am living in a 2 bed with my partner. And I am the ONLY person I know living with their partner and not with roommates as well. And that's possible because I have 2 jobs and social media... not normal.

We could learn a few things from Dublin.... y'all are SMART!

I was able to save $25k in a year and I pay $1600 in rent

I pay 1000cad rent, my car payment is 616$/month and insurance is 239$ a month. This stresses me out😕. It’s a brand new car at least I don’t have to think about repairs couple years. But I agree I made a bad choice of buying an expensive car. But yeah, I more into frugal living now and pay off my car by the end of 2025.

I got rid of my lease and I broke even. So that’s saving me $465 a month plus an additional amount from cheaper car insurance. I decided to buy a car cash.
@tanicha2 жыл бұрын
Sooooo so smart!! Even putting away half of your lease payment a month will add sooo much to savings 👏🏾
@LaToya_B2 жыл бұрын
@@tanicha half of the $465 goes into savings and the rest goes in Roth account.

Congrats on saving $50K! Do you participate in your company's 401K Plan. If not, you should seriouly consider. What are your next goals?
@tanicha2 жыл бұрын
I actually contribute to my Roth IRA instead bc of the tax benefits. But a 401K is just as smart - just not for me at this point 🥰
@stephaniel6867 Жыл бұрын
@Tanicha Rose I know this video is extremely old but the amounts you can put in a IRA & a 401k are night and day. For 2023, $6500 max for IRAs and $22500 for 401k. Once you've maxed out the IRA, definitely consider a 401k. If you employer does a match for the 401k, absolutely continue that amount usually around 5% so as to not leave any money on the table.
