The latest Davinci Resolve Studio has a great shallow focus/narrow DOF effect - give that a try to add the missing look to the small iPhone sensor!
@andyz_w35842 ай бұрын
That would be awesome, thanks
@PuertoPlataFilms2 ай бұрын
You can get the shallow depth of field using full frame lens adapter

Did you use an external mic for the sounds?

I didn’t! The iphone mic is quite good imo. Especially for voice overs. But using an external mic could be better

Brilliant video, thank you for sharing! But… what defines a "proper" camera? Is it the high-end Arri Alexa or the more affordable Sony A7S IV? In my view, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is also a proper camera-it simply offers different advantages and serves different purposes. Ultimately, all cameras are proper cameras; they each have their own strengths and limitations depending on the context of use. That’s my perspective, anyway.
@WesselBabtist2 ай бұрын
For me personally that would be an a7siii. But yes you’re right, all depends on context

Who or where did you learn your film and photographic skills from? And how long have you been shooting?
@jhenrigarrote3 ай бұрын
Very masterful techniques… Sadly, when it comes to cinematic, iPhone is only good for B-Rolls as you mentioned at the end, small sensor and lack of depth, the only advantage of using an iPhone for projects is when you want to go anamorphic, that way you won’t need to buy 2 insanely expensive anamorphic camera lenses 😂

Inspiring video! Why did you choose the HEVC (H.265) codec?
@WesselBabtist3 ай бұрын
Because you get small file sizes without sacrificing video quality!
