How I Shot a Low-Budget Music Video

I shoot music videos all the time and what i'd really recommend when you shoot in cities is to find spots and angles were you see no parked cars in the background. I know it is difficult, but video's look so much better when there are no parked cars in the background during performance shots. The lower angle were you see the buildings and the traffic light in the background is a very creative one. The security footage angle would have worked better if you actually made the footage look like security footage. Don't be afraid to 'dirty it up' The black and white story line was nicely done. The mouth shots are creative as well. I also like how you took him out of the city. The less performance shots you have, the more impactful they become. Nowadays im aiming to repeat as less performance shots as possible (it is not always possible because of time, but i had a few instances were every performance shot was a new angle, even if it was on the same location). Any ways, i can tell you are very creative with it. Keep doing that.

@@officialcisko Mainly a production that doesn’t have any money to get certain locations and crew members. Hard to say but I’d say like $300-$500 range, where most people that are trying to get into the industry start at
