Agreed. At least he can tell folks how much paracord he used so we have a chance to try and make it ourselves
Good video. I like how you explain the mechanics and adjustability of the pouch.

Thanks! I am really an amateur slinger, there are a lot of professionals around the world and even some competitions. It's a fun niche sport with a forum (like the internet days of old) at slinging.org

Six feet indeed. I'd rather get hit with covid again than that beast! Love those finger loops, you should make a tutorial on 'em. Running to etsy now \m/

How come you're not selling these anymore? Could you make a tutorial or do you have an Etsy link that works? This one says sold out..

With the face/facial hair combo, I was expecting the mildly impatient voice of Kratos, but instead, ended up with excited Mark Proksch, which is somehow even more fitting..

Cool primitive technology man. I prefer something with a little more umph but looks like fun the whip crack adds to the effect.

Maybe to prevent any type of projectile escaping the pouch by using some flexible heavy duty rubber bands wrapped around or rubberize it with natural latex rubber . For the Chafing why not use a very thin leather glove .

Are you still making these Balearic-inspired Paracord Slings? I would like to obtain one from you.

How to do that sling you use?
@chuckaddison513410 ай бұрын
Given that the projectile is subsonic, why would you want the crack, since it will have no purpose other than to alert your prey if hunting. I can see it for target shooting but still superfluous.
@jamesb231210 ай бұрын
The tassel or "cracker" has an important purpose for Balearic style and other braided slings. It functions to dissipate the energy of the end of the release cord after a throw, the cracking sound is a byproduct of that. Without a tassel, the end of the sling can come back around and whip you. There's also an uncomfortable tug on your finger when you throw without the tassel.

What is the length of that sling? I am thinking that I should buy the 48 inch.
@salimufari Жыл бұрын
Personally I've thrown bolas & a few different sling types & most of them do not want to be spun around really more than 2 or so turns to accelerate the ammo & then a final turn to launch while stepping into the throw. Adding the body movement into the final spin adds a lot of power to the shot. While the explanation was okay the actual usage was solid. The rubber band idea on golf balls probably would make the ball exit with a lot of slice. Last with the finger loop. I really do not like binding your hand into that loop set up. Most Baleric slings I've seen used a single larger loop with more freedom of movement.

I wonder if there is a way to make these quiet so they don't crack like that.

🤣 Maybe by taking off the whip cracker 🤣

What is the furthest you could sling a 8ball
@MedievalTrebuchet2 жыл бұрын
Wow, I hadn't thought of slinging billiard balls before! Those can weight 6 ounces? That would be lethal, heavier and denser than baseballs. I would guess that you could get them at least 100 yards. I should give it a go sometime, maybe I will do a distance slinging video later in the month.
@MedievalTrebuchet2 жыл бұрын
You will likely need to close up the pouch on these particular slings with rubber bands so that the billard balls don't slip through.

@@liamwinter4512 Yes they are a lot of fun!

@liam winter an update, I now have a set of billiard balls on hand. They definitely would not work out of these slings, the balls are polished and slippery and they slip through. But they are a great size. I think I will start making my next batch of slings with an "x" cross in the middle of the pouch to accommodate 8balls and golf balls.

It is very difficult to fix the right direction. It is very danger to use it . I used it in childhood. From India
@MedievalTrebuchet Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I think the sling and stone is the hardest projectile sport to master. I definitely recommend that anyone starting out use tennis balls or something soft. Do you still shoot? I do not know much about the slinging culture in India

Right,those circles ain't doing much either. A friend made us 2 from a old pair of boots,used the tang and the strings,used first 2 fingers in one loop.
@kodfkdleepd2876 Жыл бұрын
Why not add a bridge across the two straps so the ball cannot slip through?
@javedhashmi3315 Жыл бұрын
Good question. I think and i have never held one of these is because the projectiles are not of same dimensions. I requires little freedom to grip the stones just right.
