Hi Gillian, I stumbled on your videos searching for content to guide me on my building a community concept. This sprang forth from the work i have been doing the past year on my podcast and my motivational speaking. I discovered a very healthy group of interested and talented ppl that kept coming to me, or inviting me or joining me for various virtual connections, meetings, and projects. It occurred to me that it was time to bring these ppl together into a group that could utilize all of our collective brainpower, resources, experiences, and skill sets to help ourselves and others step into and onto their entrepreneurial journey. Did things a little backwards from how you did, but I soft-launched a membership about a month ago....have 35 members so far. Funnel is built but still being tweaked...sales are mostly coming from past students and a trickle from social media for now with a temporary sales page. I am working at making extra money to help the locals more, in fact I would like to find a way of helping them to make money online. I was getting setup to use affiliate marketing, however, I hadn´t considered membership sites. I must say that is an appealing idea. Maybe that would be the way to go. Thanks again!

I can create content on a few engineering subjects and host them on a site. But i cannot be active each month to take live classes. So can i still run a membership site! I have been dreaming of starting a math help website. I struggled with math in high school and then found a love for teaching math. I have taught algebra through calculus for 30 years and have created almost 2000 help videos for my students. My students consistently encourage me to get these videos out to students on a large scale because they find them to be very helpful and have aided many to successfully complete courses they would otherwise find it difficult. I haven’t had the know how to start this yet but your video has helped to inspire me to get started.

I've set up an online paid membership group for a particular group of women on a new platform. This new platform will support my members well but will not help attract and deliver new people as does Facebook. So what do you think about creating a public FB page to attract numbers of people I can screen then invite to the other platform in a paid membership? Facebook will send people to my public group for free if there's enough activity. Can't I build the private paid membership group with FB as a resource?

Awesome!! I have been a Start Up Society member for about 5 years now and I love it. I haven't always been active on the platform because I've had 3 babies since then, but I have grown a lot! We are worship musicians doing our music full-time! But we need income streams to help us make the music, travel and tour, market, and all the things. So, here we are looking at a membership site!! 😁😁😁 I am still working through other action plans to solidify our foundation. Our KZbin channel now has thousands of streams and 146 subscribers and its only a month old. So, there is our first focus, then the membership!
