And now I have started my journey of speaking English on stage. It all has started only 10 days before and I am enjoying it and also feeling much confident. Thank u for motivating us.

@@SankarJankoti Try to speak whenever you get any opportunity and sometimes you also have to make one. As I got myself enrolled in B.ed course I have to do it regardless of my choice. I pushed myself to do it even when the inner me was holding me back. Just face the situations which holds you back . All the best

being socially anxious and having self doubts over english could be hard sometimes but you know what as she said its gradual process stay strong keep brushing up your skills as you brush up your teeth daily .i ve been trying to enhance my egnlish ,the way i speak ,answer, react,choosing proper words according to situations ,,,,sometimes suddenly i feel like iam lacking in practicing so i start talking to myself on any topic that comes to my mind.i just hope if there is anyone like me with social anxiety then take heart we are gonna make it happen and get whatsoever we want :)

Hi Aleena! I am from Odisha and recently I finished my graduation. I am continuing to improve my English speaking skills. When I compare myself from my earlier version I have lot improved. I used to participate on activities like dance and drawing competitions. I am also a volleyball player. Volleyball has helped me so much to gain confidence, to talk to people and to have a recognition as well .I developed confidence by practicing my drills everyday and asked people to help me(which was my big fear- fear of rejection),sometimes they come and appreciate my diligence and want to help me and want to join the club as well. Whenever I tried to care less what others think of me and faced my fears, my confidence got its momentum to improve faster. For me, having confidence and still working on it, has always given me the happiness I needed.

To sum up my story in short... Ma'am, I felt the same as you when I was in the midst of my college days. However, I felt the fire inside me that I needed to change my personality from being a timid girl to a frank and confident girl, so i started watching ted talks and stuff on youtube also I'm blessed enough to have one good friend who always supported me in practising one on one conversation. In addition to this eventually, I noticed the change in me and since then till now I feel confident whenever I talked so I'm continuing to do this for my better communication skills. Hi Aleena, it has been almost two years of listening practice online in the form of videos, podcasts etcetera, and has been a year of speaking every day for an hour or sometimes more my English has tremendously improved and I have started from scratch. Although accent was never my priority however accent has come to me very naturally because I most of the time watch the news channel and podcasts in British or American accent and believe in me my accent has become like that even though I practice to myself sometimes if I get this opportunity then I make conversation with others as well but in the start when I would try to speak to someone because I would be taking pauses and it was completely weak I would be mocked by my family members even but now thanks to Allah my English is much better then them all for which I am very much content and grateful to Allah Almighty that it has become possible so far my journey is completely solo now English has become more natural for me in every aspect just by passionate devotion everything in life is possible if your intention is right and you keep determined throughout the time there was and there is a lot of time that I wear out because I am completely doing this for my sake and amusement there it is journey that is still going on now I am use to it there is no one's contribution except of Allah which I am glad for. By the way, you are such a mentor to me because I have taken a lot of inspiration from you and you have contributed a lot in form of motivation through your content. Keep up with that.💞💞💞

I can relate to this; people not respecting you. Not that they will disrespect you but they won't take you seriously, your words seem to hold no value to people. Really need to get rid of such people and need to work on yourself. I read self help book, it helped !

Ma'am now u too my all time inspiration 🙂...... Let me share my story with u ...I never shared It with my parents as well..but I can contact with what you said ..... Till I was around 14 , I was a shy and introvert type of person..I didn't know how to make friends how to communicate and to answer anyone.....I would like to communicate with people but I couldn't due to my shyness...so many times my relatives my parents misunderstood me due so and so reasons....but I couldn't express myself, I would always feel depressed.....but still there was an internal call of mine that I can't live like this..... (Turning point)my exams were there on my head and I didn't study properly Bezos I always engaged in some of the activities like house chores, teaching my younger brother and all...I was feeling so bad about my studies and that was the time when I started watching the videos of an Inspirational personality on KZbin... I'll not mention his name over here...but he really changed my life ....I learnt how to smile all time...my communication skills automatically get improved.....I started learning so many things and now I am 16 ...and now I know how to solve any problem and how to deal with any situation 😊😊.
