Yo another banger episode as always! I also went to URochester like you Jason and I also transferred because it wasn't the best environment for me especially because of covid. But I did learn a lot from my time there and now I'm much happier at my new school. And those winters were hella tough fr even being from NYC myself I still thought it was too cold lmao. i relate to jason so much on the divorce. i think that "choose me or ur dad" is very common in kore-am experiences. its selfish of the parents to deny their kids relationships, no matter how the marriage ended and especially if i didnt know both sides. i still get shit from my mom for reaching out to my dad a couple years ago, but he was an ok parent up until the divorce. like jason, i couldnt live w/ the feeling of my dad passing away and missing out on a relationship w/ him just because my mom told me to. my loyalty will always be for my mom at the end of the day, but i cant just shut out my dad.

"I'm in the late talking stage / early situationship phase and I mentioned on planning a trip for the two of us, I got hit a few days later that she invited a few of her friends so now I'm in charge of a couples trip, but I've never met the other dudes and low-key want just a one on one type trip, how do I navigate out of this debacle without any damage.

Real talk, reach out to your dad bro before its too late. There is always 2 sides to a story. I would hear him out. I’ll say i was in the same situation and lost contact with my dad at 17 and didn’t really reach out to him until i had a kid of my own, just to find out he was dead. Long story short. Some stories was exaggerated just for me and my sibs not to get close to my dad only to find out when it was too late. Divorce in here will always force Dads to pay child support so i wouldn’t think your dad left you guys without paying child support monthly.

Not trying to step on your girl’s toes but something you may also want to consider is why that guy even felt comfortable enough to do that with you around. Just as much as you have to think about how to go about handling that situation so you don’t embarrass yourself and your girl, she needs to do her job as your girlfriend and let people know the EXACT boundaries not to cross, especially when it comes to protecting your guys relationship.

Besides that I enjoyed this episode I can relate to your talking about divorce parents. I think it's unfair to be forced to not like one parent because they don't get a long. But it's hard to judge when we aren't in their shoes and know the reason for the hate or dislike towards one another. I hope when you get married that both of your parents could accept being there for you to celebrate and put their differences aside for you.
