Selam Aleyküm I'm glad you have english subtitles. As İ listen and read the English İ realise how many Arabic words we use in Turkish. MashAllah you know so many different languages ❤❤ I'm a Turkish -English interpreter and there are some things that are very difficult to find a translation in another language... You need to know both languages very well to be able to translate into the another language...

Subhanallah. As an Arabic native speaker born in the west this has inspired me greatly. I speak the North Afican dialect, can read and understand the Quran but cannot speak Arabic fusha at all. It is beautiful to see non natives so emersed in this language. The beauty of Islam subhanallah!

Typically it is said that the brains of non-native speakers seem different to those of the native ones. I wonder if it would be possible that one learns the language to such a degree (in adulthood) that it is hard to differentiate a between the two types of speakers not just through their communication skills, but also on a neurological level. I regret not having grown up with more than two languages but in any case, this video is very encouraging.

One of the greatest things about the Muslim civilization is the many people it could easily bring together. An Arab Muslim who really understands Islam would fight an Arab oppressor to defend a Muslim from any other race or region (be that American, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Pakistani, African, Asian, or whatever). I'm not an Arab, but I can speak Arabic alhamdulillah. By the way, I think the word you are searching for is "أقلع / يقلع + عن" or "انتهى / ينتهي + عن" or "كفَّ / يكفّ + عن" They're used in that sense. For example, if you were used to drinking coffee in the morning, and you quit, you would say, "أقلعت عن شرب القهوة في الصباح" If someone was used to cheating in the exam, but you wanted to say "he should stop", you would say, "يجب أن ينتهي عن الغشّ في الامتحان" and so on...
