Love this idea of grouping tasks into what can be done at the same time and then prioritising by group

A year's worth of video watching on the topic of bullet journaling, and yours is one of the top two most satisfying to watch. It really resonated with my soul.

Batch tasking! I've never heard of this and need it for exactly all the reasons you listed. It's so helpful to see a bullet journal actually being used, so thank you so much for being willing to show that. If anyone watching your vid thinks "wow, who has that time?" (as I once might have thought), I can say from (new)experience that I now spend my days *much* more productively (trans: less guilt, more pride and more daily enjoyment). The 10-15 minutes I spend on my bullet journal each night has transformed my life. Like you, I'm adding in more and more sections as I think they will support me and now I absolutely love to open that book at the end of each day and fill in all the sections! I commented on an earlier video of yours that it impressed me to see how much care and attention you apply to your life and then PING the penny dropped and now I do the same. I cannot thank you enough - but I'm going to keep trying! As for an April drawing lesson, "dragonfly" popped into my head when you asked! I hope you have a good week Elyse. Love to you from ccccoooold Canada :)

I'm really glad you made this video. I have energy budgeting issues as well and it's always an encouragement to see someone else honest and heart-strong finding ways to cope and live better. Your videos are ones I'll watch on sad days and more than once have been the extra oomph of productivity encouragement I needed. I hope all the good things come your way and that you have the energy to enjoy them.

hi, I'm new to your channel and have to say how much I love your videos! I've been living with post concussive syndrome for other two years now and finding a way to record and plan my days has literally be life changing. I've been watching all your videos and am finding so many good tips that I know will help me. Most people don't understand how fatigue can control your life, but little by little I'm taking it back with tips like these! Thank you so much for sharing

The batch-tasking idea is definitely something I'll have to incorporate into my own bullet journal. I too will bounce around from one thing to another without really considering which tasks can be knocked out at once. :)

Thank you for what you said starting at 12:25. Explaining to people that I can’t commit to events because I won’t know how I will feel on a future date, *until the day arrives* is one of the most frustrating aspects of living with fibromyalgia. It’s difficult trying to explain why I wake up exhausted on one of the few days that I slept well the previous day or explain that _everything_ hurts, except my hair. Thank you for sharing some of your coping methods. As for April, I keep thinking of the old saying that April showers bring.may flowers, so, a rain theme for April? Umbrellas, wellies, rain bonnets, rain showers, puddles, etc.

Dark Iris i used to struggle explaining to people. I realized now that those that required explanations weren’t that important. I also try to be more aware of how im feeling at the beginning of the week so i can contact friends and fam to make plans (once again those who don’t require explanations are more than happy to make plans in short notice).

You should look into the spoon theory. Its a fantastic way to explain that some days you just don't wake with enough energy to do all the things like normal humans do. I myself run on the second version of the fork theory which is more for the mentally ill than the physically exhausted. I really hope it helps
@carolynmcmillan70835 жыл бұрын
Dark Iris it is hard isn't it. I have fibromyalgia and CFS. Most days getting the kids to school exhausts me. So I try my best to do as much as I can in the morning whilst they eat breakfast / get dressed etc. I ne we used to then would crash out. Now if I fall asleep at least I've done something forst

Ok I think you have just changed my life. I also have fibromyalgia and after watching a couple of bullet journal videos and yours fitted my life best, I got started. I watched this video as soon as it came online and it was like a lightening bolt, why had I never grouped my tasks before??? I have written down my tasks for the day and grouped them and all of a sudden my day is manageable. I have been chasing my tale all week and not made any progress but today I feel positive for the first time in over a week. Thank you soooo much xxx

Hello, I just found your channel by accident but I'm hooked ! Your way of presenting things is so helpful and easy. I love this video - at last somebody who shows how "to use" a bullet journal. I'm finding your way of planning out each of your days very interesting. It's not very easy for me to plan things in advance. (Even morning through to the afternoon plans can change so fast depending on how I feel ! - I suffer from fibromyalgia, chronic pain and depression) and if I can't do everything I feel soooooo bad, guilty etc .... However after watching this video, you have given me LOADS of GREAT ideas of how to move forward with my journal journey!!! Thank you so much and keep up the great advice/work 😀

Your layouts are magnificently simple, beautiful and playful all art the same time! I’ve always journaled my entire life, and I’ve always had a few drawings in them. But then we’re just journals. Then I had my planner to carry around also. But a bullet journal is wonderful and your talent is amazing. I love your drawings and the simplicity of your bullet journal. I hope you don’t mind me incorporating some of your page ideas? I now subscribe to your channel.🐢

I have some health issues that sidetrack me sometimes and I love how some of your trackers incorporate health and wellness. I'm just starting bullet journalling and trying to keep things simple until I get into the flow of it all anyway. I forgot to add a suggestion about your dreams! Dreams are very important to our lives: they help us process what goes on in our days and they also have messages for us much of the time. If you are interested in deciphering them, here are two books that I highly recommend: "The Dream Book" by Betty Bethards, and "20,000 Dreams" by Mary Summer Rain (don't you love her name?!) Sometimes what we view as "bad dreams" have symbols that are actually good. Just in case you are interested . . . :)

For your pain tracking, set up a scale. For me... 10 is passed out cold, 9 is screaming hysterically, 8 is can't think of anything else, 7 is the pain is screaming, but I can carry on. 6 is the pain is nagging, but I'm ignoring it pretty well, 5 is pain is there but not worth acknowledging... 0 is pain free. I can't remember 1-4 because the last time I woke up from a procedure (pain free), I realized in my everyday life that I always have some level of pain, I'm just used to blocking it. This way you are not comparing from one day to the next, but to a standard. 💝☀🌵

Thank you so much for your videos. I love your productivity tracker. I'm so going to incorporate this in my bujo. I too deal with a health issue. I have lupus. I deal with not feeling well most days. It is difficult to future plan. With not knowing how. I will feel that day. I also need to watch my sugar intake. Truly hard too do. When you have a sweet tooth. Could you make a video of your icons for your productivity tracker. So would love to do this in my bujo. Instead of dots. Would love to see how pretty this look in my bujo. Would make me happier. To see something so cute. To see it at a glance. It would keep me inspired to keep going. I try to take it easy. When I have a busy day coming up. Such as eat super healthy. Take a nap. Go to bed early.

One thing I did when adapting the productivity tracker was to write down everything I wanted to track, then did a google image search for simple doodles that matched and practiced until I could make them quick and small. It didn't take very long and made it mine. :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/d4umnayHhd-kg9k is where she got the idea from and I think hers is prettier. But it's a great way to see the huge contrast in style too. Good luck. :)

You've been tracking your food for a while now and if one of your goals is to reduce snacking... And you notice you've been snacking 4 times a day, give yourself 3 boxes to write your snacks. Once your 3 boxes are filled, no more snacking. Also, figure out why you're snacking. Are you hungry? Eat more at meal time. Are you craving, but not hungry? Work on reducing craving foods. Bored? Find a 15 minute task, you'll probably forget about snacking and it will be time to fix the next meal. Investigate intermittent to reduce inflammation that's causing your pain. It helped my fibro. I used to hover between 7 and 8, now days I'm right at a 5. Also look into vitamins and minerals. 💝☀🌵 p.s. I also experienced extreme depression whilst taking birth control pills.

It's based on the one at this link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d4umnayHhd-kg9k I think hers is prettier, but most of the time when others take an idea and make it theirs, it can become quite a bit more than the creator expected.
