Im guessing its closer to 15K CAD shipped to Whitehorse. I so want one, though...

@@kettlebellcarnivore-vr5cw depends on the model, but given how remote Whitehorse is, shipping could be pretty high.

Getting rid of freezing hands and feet... that alone makes it worth it!!!

@@DynamicRealism I absolutely agree. I don’t even need to wear gloves until it hits around 0 Fahrenheit. Even then sometimes I end up taking them off because my hands are sweating. The only time I’m cold is a few seconds when I hop in. Once I start pedaling it warms up nice and quick. Maybe even faster than a car heats up with an actual heater.

The $10k solution 😂
@mnveloguy2 ай бұрын
@@marxmeesterlijk how much does an e-bike cost? Would you ride it in winter? How much does the average car cost that you would use instead because it’s too cold to ride your bike? How much does the gas, insurance, and maintenance alone cost for that car? How about the cost for a fat bike which also won’t keep you warm and dry? That’s how I justified buying a velomobile, and I have zero regrets. Oh, and in the long term I’ll be saving myself quite a lot of money on healthcare too, especially since my family has a lengthy history of heart disease. The more exercise I get, the healthier I am, and the less I’ll be spending on pricy American healthcare.

i ride an upright bike as my only means of transport in northern minnesota, and i just wear normal clothes with plenty of layers. bikes are allowed studded tires here, and few things feel nicer than riding past stuck trucks on my way up an icy hill

@@mnveloguy Fair enough. I'm glad you can afford it. I don't own a car or e-bike. But where I live I also don't have such harsh winters.
