A few things that have helped to control my hairfall include: (1) I discontinued wearing hair ties because it leds to tension breakage. (2) I started massaging my scalp twice a week with liitleextra cocoonnion hair oil while leaning forward & holding my head inverted to allow blood flow to the scalp. (3) Protecting my head while moving out to protect my hair from dust and pollution. (4) Using gentle shampoo again from liittleextra only to cleanse my hair.

I've been using this Cocoonioon shampoo over the last 5 months. Some shampoos make the scalp dry and itchy, but I didn’t experience that with this one. Hair loss has reduced somewhat. Overall, it’s a good product.

@@misschissybudget1656 That’s just what our hair requires, not to just grow longer but also remain healthy. It requires low manipulation. Nobody “forgot” about enjoying their hair. I’ve never heard of that. You probably just don’t want to keep your hair in protective styles all the time. But I mean you can do what you want. It ain’t my hair.

@@misschissybudget1656 i agree with you, it has grown rampant. But I understand some people have the goal of growing long hair. I try to find the medium of wearing my hair out half the time and half protective styling because like you said, it's important to just enjoy our hair.

I didnt think my hair could grow past certain length. You are so right about low manipulation! Ive seen results. Ive now noticed breakage despite careful take down etc and I believe ive stretched my relaxer too long. 7 months at this point. The relaxed hair is breaking off so in future il consider re-touching the new growth at say 4/5 months. I was planning to stretch to 1 year but I realise it is causing breakage for me. You are right about not over stretching the relaxer too. Love your chanel.

I enjoy consuming your content because the results of your regimen are fabulous ❤ I have waist-length relaxed hair, but my issue was excessive full strands shedding for the past 8 months. No rhyme or reason why it started. The only one of your tips that worked for me was handling the hair with leave-in but not any leave-in, an anti-hair loss one. Took approx. 5 weeks to stop the excessive shedding and my hair is rebounding nicely even though it's on the thin side for now. Like you, I want to encourage everyone to find what works for them. Don't be discouraged when someone else's complete regimen doesn't work for you too.

I just see it as a #tailbonelengthchallenge .... change your perspective. Make it fun and beautiful. Your mindset is the only thing blocking you from enjoying the journey. We don't have a sob story. We have an opportunity to show the most self love, the most creativity, the most resilience. African hair follicles are oval and that shape needs the most care. Fragile, yes. It is what it is. I am in a growth challenge of wearing zero braid hair or crochets. I change up my cornrows but all I do most days is wear headwraps, u-part wigs, or faux bangs for zoom. I've been consistent for 2 years. I have 3 more years to go and I hope to be swinging my hair down to my butt while listening to similar complaints. We are the lucky ones because it's an opportunity to delve into the sciences about our hair, play with sexy accessories, and once we reach our goal be the most exotic thing in the room.. Don't let "them" trick you into rushing the process. A little sacrifice now will pay off later!

I usecthe Fudge "Time Machine " hair bonder, it actually works to restore hair strength, softness and reducing breaking 4c Afro hair. And a deep condition Keratin hair bonder helps. And clove & rosemary oil

Hello Seun, I have a question. When your hair is in twist or box braids and you change the way its worn does that still count as manipulation. For example you go from wearing your braid or twist down, then into a bun, then half up half down.

I have just discovered your channel. I have started relaxing my own hair since the pandemic and it's going fine. My old hair stylist used to drag the brush through my hair when it was wet and my hair used to come out a lot. I wonder whether she likes long hair? Anyway, thanks for the heads up. I look forward to watching your other videos.

I got my hair relaxed almost two months ago٫and it was over processed( like parts of it were burnt and stuck to my scalp for a little over a week٫almost two) and it hurt٫and i honestly don't know where to go from here. I don't want to put it in a style that'll cause more breakage. I feel like no matter how many videos I watch and how many times I watch it٫im clueless. I'm going to try more protective styles and hope that it works

Any tips for dyeing hair? Mine relax my hair and it was growing beautifully but I dyed my hair for the first time two years ago and it broke off horrible. I am happy that I found your channel, it helps me because I was doing just as you do. I relax my hair twice a year and the rest of the year, I have my hair in a twist (the last two year I have been growing it out because of the dye)

Hey, i just want to ask a question. I like to have my hair out most of the time, i hardly ever have in protective styles. I therefore relax my hair approximately every 2 months sometimes after a month and half and by that time the new growth gets extremely hard to a point where i literally can not run a bomb through it. Is it normal? If not, is there a way that i can atleast keep it a little soft so that i can atleast comb it? I don't know if it's also because i dont wash it during that 2 months (between my relaxing appointments) can you also advice me on how often i should wash it?

Seun talks about using QRS olive oil lotion. That was a game changer for the manageability of my new growth. I would use the moisturizer first then seal with Jamaican castor oil mixed with a lighter hair oil. Check out Seun's video" how I grew my hair long"

I know this is somewhat unrelated but can you please do a video or give me quick advice on pre sew-in hair prep. Idk if Im supposed to thoroughly moisturize before install or have it dry and heat styled like most hairstylists require. I just know that in take down my hair is super brittle and snaps right off
