2 things......#1 your screwdriver trick just saved my life immensely. I am always using the cutter on my Dremel to snap those tabs off. #2 the baking soda trick....very awesome. Definitely gonna give this a try. Thanks for sharing Nesto!!

+PBAJ1972 Thank you for watching my friend, I came across the screwdriver technique, bc of my lack of cutting tools, beware It does not work with every casting there are some in which the tabs are very close together and very strong. I appreciate your support PJ, and I am glad you were able to retain something from this video.

Dude! Took me 2 nights to watch the whole video. I started watching it last night but I fell asleep haha. Neat method on how you do your wheel swaps. Just like that the casting looks good with the wheels 👍🏽

@nestop.98929 жыл бұрын
+artistic amnesia Thank you AA, TBH I learned that trick for other uses, and recently though of applying it to customs, it is great because, you can sand it down afterwards, apply some more too, and paint it afterwards.

Nice work!! Sometimes it's risky putting glue on the axle depending how thick it is. I over did the axle with glue to where it got in the wheel and the wheels won't spin. Great job man!

Hi I like your tricks here. How would you do the axle and tire swap for a hotwheel track head to head down hill racers. Ty
@ronnieblack24825 жыл бұрын
I noticed you and some others do half axles. I make whole axles from scratch. Is the half axle easier to you? I use 1/32 rods with #1 jewelry crimping beads as axle end caps with a tiny dab of super glue gel. I am going to try that half axle my self and see if its easier.
@nestop.98925 жыл бұрын
Hi, this is an old method i used, now i use full axles... but guve it a shot, maybe you can learn something new...
@EdsterIII7 жыл бұрын
Besides the detailing and painting, tire swaps are my biggest issue. I had an older Greenlight Daytona that had the wing snapped off. But I haven't had luck cutting axels and using glue to re-attach. I had gotten E6000 industrial adhesive but its real gooey and leaves a string. Not sure if baking soda will work but thats an awesome trick. I was thinking of using tubes for the axels. As you can tell and Ive mentioned I'm just starting. And your vids and Rivera's have been a big help. Thank you. I now have another trick. Snapping the tabs are an issue too but your trick will help. I learned from Rivera's channel that skimping on tools and paint can be a downfall. So I'm in the middle of changing my paints etc. Again thank you sir. I have big respect for what you guys have accomplished. This weekend I'm going to do a video marathon of you guys and make more detailed notes. I'm serious about this and I really want to succeed. I'll let you know my progress. I do have 3 done but they are soo weak..lol. I also have a Nissan Fairlady I stripped, primed, and cheap paint was not good. So started over. Live and learn. Peace my friend.

For this video i used a camera and a tripod, you can also zoom in while recording with your phone, just use the pinch method, and then tap on the screen to focus.

For some people, there are many different ways, all people work their own way. Figure out what works for you, sometimes is the execution that is at fault, but it depends on the customizer.
