One thing could have added was your camera settings - low light then use auto ISO, unless you really really want that low DoF, use f8 (and be there as the old pros used to say) which will give you a MUCH higher chance of a sharp in-focus shot. Shutter speed at 1/60 if you're holding a pose or 1/160 if you feel there may be some swaying (strong wind perhaps). Loved your review of the Boundary Prima BTW. Size of the camera insert also my major concern - they need to address that.

Canon has had for a long time a remote button RC-6 that works uptown 16 feet away...I just refound that switch I haven't used in years but when I saw this video I remembered it but it needs a battery...tomorrow!

Hey, do you use any application on your phone to control the camera ?
@dunnadidit4 жыл бұрын
It’s called Sony Imaging edge
@propm3 жыл бұрын
There is an app for my sony A7II but it feels so bad and every time it disconnects from the camera for some reason it's a pain to get it back on. and I don't think I can shoot RAW when using the phone as a controller, I Want a new Sony camera :O
@Shreed4 жыл бұрын
What do you think about the A7C for this use case?
@dunnadidit4 жыл бұрын
I think it would be great! Being able to use the flip screen to see yourself would be fantastic!

Damn! Just got the A7c and I'm shocked that they still don't allow af-c for interval shooting. I really hope they make self-portraits easier soon. Even with the app, it focuses on my eye and then I put the phone down and get back in place and the focus is lost. Come on Sony we need this!!

The app being used also lets you transfer camera images to your phone fast! App is “imaging edge”
@dunnadidit5 жыл бұрын
Yup! It’s honestly not a super great app but it gives you a couple things you couldn’t do otherwise.

Can you do eye autofocus from the phone screen?
@dunnadidit5 жыл бұрын
It seems to work. Although you don’t see it on the screen. I think it also depends on which camera. The newer ones automatically eye af whereas the older ones you had to have a separate button programmed for it.
@cbcsurvivalguide4 жыл бұрын
I noticed that for your self-timer you have the option to set 5 or 10 sec intervals. On my app, I can only select 2 secs. I wonder if this is camera dependent. I'm using an rx100m5. Do you know how to make it so that I can select a longer self-timer then 2 seconds on the app?
@dunnadidit4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I think in some of the newer cameras they added more options. I had a few cameras that were 2 or 10 seconds. Then I got 5 later on with another newer camera.

I need some help for focus setting. If I want to shoot self portraits with my girlfriend, I have issue to get sharp photos due to wrong AF. I tried to set AF-C, but if I use Timer function my A7iii says "AF-C is not available with timer". But as I see in your video it should work.
@dunnadidit4 жыл бұрын
Hmm that’s odd. Try af-s. Unfortunately, with the timer, it takes the focus at the start of the timer so af-c won’t really do you much good anyway.
@pippycrystal57864 жыл бұрын
Set the focus on your girlfriend first and then join her while the camera continues taking the shots.

How do you get the camera to focus on your face / eye without holding the shutter or back-button auto focus? I set my camera up on my tripod, but it doesn't focus on me when I go stand in front of it.

I think I really need these. Even my tripod catch a better photo than most of my friends. Gonna try these tripod to the outside I guess.

What’d you suggest ? A6000 with a couple lenses or a6400 with kit lens as my first camera ? I only do photos and I don’t care about videos lol
@dunnadidit5 жыл бұрын
Ooooh this is a tough one. I’d probably say a6000 with nice lenses.
@drhunter11175 жыл бұрын
Dunna Did It thanks much for the reply. I started my dreams with a7ii but realized the glasses are going to be too costly. Then a6400 now ended up with a6000 lol
@dunnadidit5 жыл бұрын
Haha the a6000 was my first camera and it was awesome!
@darksideemt5 жыл бұрын
If you can swing it I suggest A6400 body only and find a good 18-105 used. If not the A6000 is a great start camera but the upgrades that the A6400 come with are worth the price if you can swing it.
@drhunter11175 жыл бұрын
travis branum I bought the a6000 today with kit lens. I will invest in full frame lenses and possibly buy a full frame in the near future. In the photography perspective a6000 feels solid. I’ve also ordered the sigma 16mm as i shoot landscape mostly :-)
