During the editing I noticed I mess up the name of my knots. After I tie the constrictor knot on the peep I use a half hitch on the top and bottom of each side. Not an overhand knot. I am sure I misspoke on some other things too. 🤷🏼♂

I like the way you share your knowledge. Both on this channel and your main channel. You never claim to be THE expert. You put out the information, and if someone has a different way of doing things, you welcome their input. I think that's called sharing, but I could be wrong.

I know nothing about knots or archery, nor am i a hunter, but i love your videos and how you explain what you’re doing. Very interesting. One thing that could help is to explain, for us that don’t hunt, is what is a “peep” on your string… the purpose of it 👍👍👏❤️ thanks Mr. O

It's cool that you share the hobby videos as well in addition to the shop videos. I was going to do that with guns, reloading, bullet casting, swaging, etc., but as you well know, the YT goblins rise up against all that........for me, it was a hobby that became a career. Nice job Mr. O 👍

I was taught back in the early 1980's to use dental floss to tie in peep sights. Great content here, how times have changed.
@simonilett9982 күн бұрын
Very similar material by the looks, but I assume dental floss is much thinner.

I use some BCY string called "mercury" and it is identical in feel and diameter to dental floss. The real smooth type of dental floss.

Not sure about the finished knot, but the beginning part of that knot is called the cow hitch or larks head knot. Maybe it's some continuation of that knot. Anyway, don't worry about the hands man. Mine are just as bad. I broke my favorite coffee cup the other day cause my hands are so corroded I can't get a grip on anything anymore. Maybe I could get a hand transplant or something and they'd be functional and look good too. 😁🤣🤣

For some reason I can NEVER remember any knot shown to me. It's a wonder I know how to tie my shoes! 😁 Dad was in the Navy on the USS Constellation back in the day - he knows about 1,200 knots. I picked up ZERO. 🥴I can watch someone do it 1,000 times, think I got it, then when I pull, it all comes unglued! I learned to stick with nuts and bolts. 🤣 Hope you, Vanessa and the boys bag some bigguns out there! Good luck!! 👍😎👍

Looks like a clove hitch with a half hitch twisted into it ... but I know clove hitches are a great knot for a lot of different situations so I can see the reasoning behind using it to keep the peep in place... 1 question does mrs.o use a magnified peep to see easier ?

Yes that is basically what it is. Very similar to the clove hitch. Shee shoots with a 6x lens and a clarifier in the peep
