“If I have the discipline to show up every day to a job that I hate, helping to build someone else’s dream, why can’t I apply that same discipline to build my own dream?” Dang that hit home.. what a great statement

Would love to know more about how you structure a trading plan. Mine is market conditions, setups (key timeframes, expected move, reasons for why the setup has edge), setup criteria (entry rules, exit rules, risk management rules), Then rules for when NOT to trade the setup.

I love your view on this. How do you deal with injuries? I was on the same schedule as you, trading, training and creating content, but I tore my ACL on a ski trip and find it mentally difficult having to go through my week without exercise, I am a cyclist btw. Not having the exhausting trainings is hard. I don't sleep well, my thinking is affected, I feel like I am losing dicipline in other sides of my life because I miss this crucial part of my life that makes me happy...

I aprecieate the content! Question, why do you have the need to trade open to close? Isn't that over stimulating your brain to the point of mental exhaustion..looking at the screen...mental gymnastics (processing and deciphering the market data in real time for 9 hours)
@jamesrichyoung6 ай бұрын
Thanks! I don’t trade every minute of the day, I take breaks or work on other things especially if it’s slow. But I do like to stay close to the market because I don’t know when the next opportunity will come, so just checking the pulse on it throughout the day.

I like to look at the piece count first and have it all separated in my hands, then follow the instructions on the picture. This way if I have pieces left I know I missed a step. Double check then turn to the next page.

@jamesrichyoung I’ve enjoyed watching your KZbin channel evolve and along the way I’ve learned a lot about trading thanks to you. I noticed that since you’ve moved into your new space, there’s a lot of echo in the room. The tech company I co-founded is liquidating some of its stuff and we have a podcast studio with a bunch of really high-quality industrial grade acoustic panels. If you’re interested let me know. Regardless, keep up the great work and I look forward to your next video!

Trading is basicly probability. It's a calculated risk. The goal is to be profitable more times than not. But yes, more leverage, more reward (or conversely, more loss)
