You’re saying it’s possible my JRT can be trained. Best news I’ve heard all day.

I trained my JRT to walk off leash at 3 months. Such a smart breed! I had her on leash in remote trail, let her free, told her to come when mommy calls her or she gets leash back on. First time, she didn’t come I put the leash back on, she wasn’t happy not being able to sniff at her own pace. I told her to come when mommy calls and she can be free. She listened. Always comes to “Jackie, come mama”

Thank you for this! I have an 8 year old JRT and I am terrified that he will run off without a leash

Glad to be of help. Always start somewhere without distractions and build up from there gradually. Never overwhelm your JRT as they’re naturally curious. Keep us posted.🤎

Sheryl please advise and help me: I love your training and sushi 😙I have a male JRT 4 months old (not yet castrated), and a 6yrs old female (spayed), why does the male try to fight with my older female? Small things lead to a fight between them, but when they play happily together I am so happy 😁💞 .My old female is not one for 'treats training', so that is out of the question (I am talking real bacon/cheese/sausages - she will ignore and walk away!), but, my little male loves treats and does his training (I use all of your techniques 🐶👍),daily! How with your advice can I train him not to fight with 'his older 'sister''????💔

Thanks for being here, Jacqui.🤎 Your male JRT is still very young so he can be super excited. Keep their playtime short so the young one won’t get too excited and become too much for your older female JRT. Don’t wait for them to fight during playtime. Always supervise their playtime. Create safe and separate areas for them. So after playtime, they can both have peace in their own space. Remove all things that cause them to fight such as food, toys, bed, etc. Is your female play driven? If so, you can use toys or play as rewards for training. You can join my Facebook group (Jack Russell Terrier Support Group) for more support.

Hi Sheryl, You have done good job training Sushi👍 enjoy watching your videos. I have lost my baby Jack Russell girl Misha, she was 14 years old. She looked like Sushi a lot. May I ask if you could refer your breeder to me? I have looked everywhere, haven’t found one close to her looking yet. Thank you!

Thank you for being here. I’m so sorry for your loss. Sorry I have no contact information on Sushi’s breeder. We got her from a Japanese pet shop back in 2018. Where did you get Misha? If you don’t mind me asking.

@@sherylgim8906 Thank you so much for your prompt response! Sheryl, Yes I found it when I checked your home page that you are in Japan, it may not work even you have breeder’s contact info. I am here in the US. But very much appreciated you getting back to me. I will keep watching your videos. Best, Mag

Dusty and to avoid small insects going into my nose. This is a rice field. The tractor is a big distraction for her. Thanks for watching!😊
