My cat learned, all by himself how to open doors. Just watched how we are doing that (pushing down the handle). I had few cats in my life, and none of them was able to do that. It is much more than just personality :) Great cats You have :) Greetings from Poland :)

My beloved Chocolate Labradoodle Max, was suddenly diagnosed with Leukemia at 8 1/2 years old (from super-fit to gon in 9 weeks). I like you with your cats, would interact my daily routines with Max...even thinking aloud so that he would also relate certain words with certain tasks that I would be doing around him. I believe this is what made him super intelligent and very reactive to 'requests' and everyday sequences and even also premeditating what would happen next etc. And has for travelling, he was no problem, cars, trains, metro and planes...and he even loved the escalators!. Dogs and cats a creatures of habit and routines. And I believe talking / interacting with your furry friends as much has possible makes them more intelligent and just great to have around. R.I.P Max.

My kitty Mango lets me touch his paws pretty much how ever I want. I got em off a freeway as a kitten so i just handled his paws at a young age incase he ever got something in them that I needed to get out I could do so without dying. A good and thoughtful owner ideally wouldn't keep them locked up in the house all day long. Cats should be free to come and go as they please. If you live in a small high rise flat or somewhere where that can't happen.....simple, you probably shouldn't really have a cat. Cheers

Haku is a maine coon, and maine coons tend to be described as dog-like, so maybe that's why? Haku has more vibrant orange fur than nagi if that helps.

Nothing is perfect, but to have a good life is a daily choice, discipline and hard work needed. Working on emotions, feeling thankful for what you have instead of mourning for what you don't. You can see his house and pets are clean and tidy. That shows his discipline and daily work to live In a good environment. He trained his cats, so I imagine he's patient enough to achieve his goals. I'm sure that he struggles with daily challenges as everyone, but he does something about it. The important thing is to try and not surrender.

Something ppl don't realize is that when you figure out how to communicate with cats, they actually learn more than just the methods of communication -- they learn that they can trust you. This will actually lead to noticeable results: your cat will become so much calmer, more peaceful, friendlier, etc. When they know that they can communicate effectively with you and trust you, their stress levels dissipate. I mean look how calm Poki is (comparatively) now that he's had some time to learn from Jun and Rachel

yep first thing i do is find their safe spot! my older cat loves neck rubs while my younger cat loves head rubs. that way you can know which places you can touch them also i like to let my older cat wander throughout the neighborhood on his own & he'll always come back. one time he just stared from outside my bedroom window while looking back n forth between me & the front door n that's when i realized i forgot to open the door for him😭😭 but that also means he knows where to find me & knows how to communicate with me to get him inside lmao
