Hi Nessa! Wonderful video. I got a rescued little poodle and we are taking her with us to her very first trip ever. I was a bit worried about the whole flight because she gets a bit anxious in small spaces, as natural of course. I already bought the bag and I was searching for tips to get her comfortable inside! She loves her carrier! This is so cute. I’m curious what the dimension requirements were for your airline? All the airlines I’ve been looking at so far seem to be around 18x11x11 but my Cavapoo is also about 14 inches tall so 11 is a little short for her

Hi Nessa: With an 11 week old Cavapoo I've greatly enjoyed watching your videos for tips. I am sorry for your current difficulties as a you face your professional teaching cross roads. One thing I am about to embark on is getting my girl (Chloe) to become more comfortable with the crate when I am not around. She is fine being in the crate as long as she can see me or know that I'm nearby. The No-Hide sticks yo use and love, as does Sophie, in their long lasting way, seem like a great time diversion for the crate or any confinement like the soft carrier. My question to you is if Sophie becomes possessive of such treats to the point of showing teeth or growling when she is working on one and you approach her. Clearly all dogs are different, especially across breeds, but my late Maltese use to become very possessive when given such treats. Fortunately my Chloe, like your Sophie, appears extremely easy going. Opposite to my Maltese, the only thing that gets her to vocalize is need for attention. Bunnies, squirrels, other dogs barking, the mailman, nothing seems to set her off while my Maltese would bark at the wind. Thanks.

Hi Nessa! Is this carrier flexible? Are you able to adjust the height if you push it down? I got one that is soft sided but the wires that hold the structure are so hard that the height won't move an inch.

My cavapoochon has the same ombré colour on her ears as Sophie 🥰 it’s my fav feature of my doggie. Sophie is gorgeous! Thank you for all your advice 🧡 my puppy Nala helps me more than my meds for anxiety and I plan to fly alone for the first time in 6 months. I don’t think I’d cope without Nala as she licks my face and nudges my hands when I have panic attacks, but I want her to be as comfortable as possible when the time comes so starting preparations now… hopefully it works out InshaAllah 🤞

The different coloured ears are the best! It's the one thing that hasn't really changed as Sophie got older. Nala sounds like the perfect travel companion especially if she helps with your anxiety. I don't know how long your flight will be but I'm sure Nala will handle it well especially because you're taking time beforehand to prepare both you and her for it. Good luck and happy traveling! 😊

My dog was used to the carrier for months as a puppy until he was around a year and a half and then somehow decided he didn't like not being able to decide when he gets to come out so he chewed through the carrier door DURING a 3 hour flight. I've been working to get him okay with being in there with it closed for longer period of times because he loves the carrier, but not when it's close for more than 5 to 8 minutes. I'm so nervous he's going to chew through it again on another flight even though ive been working on him with it. Any advice? He's a miniature dachshund and likes the freedom of going in and out but not staying in it for long at all...
