The video was great! Smoothcast 300 is my favorite casting resin. I've been using a few drops of alcohol-based ink to tone it gray as well, but I do love the bright white look if I don't plan on painting it. Love that wall piece behind you! Looking forward to the next year.
@FrankyDCrafter Жыл бұрын
That’s a good tip with the ink.

hey bro, a year is a good goal. I hope you manage to more than scrape by. If you're doing monster monday because you like doing it...then that will show. So do ALL the stuff you want to share this year because your enthusiasm will lift it. Hey, less talking heads and more pretties! good luck, I mean it. chur.

Awesome video! It's really fun to learn how to resin cast and make molds. I've also spent more silicone than I'm willing to admit learning through trial and error when making molds lol. Can't wait to see what you make in 2023!

God has listened to my prayers! My very needed dose of Franky D. Crafter is here. Good to know your working and giving your all brother. Definitely got my support. It’s been like a month since I finished all your vids. I also have made some follow along builds. Not joking when I say this, but, you have been and are one of my go to crafters when I want some motivation. Just looking at your content, hearing it as a podcast even, as I go nuts crafting and or drawing. Love you bro! Catch you on the flip side, peace!

That monster has some major waterbear vibes, and I'm here for it! Also great video - molding/casting is something I've been curious about getting into, but haven't collected myself enough yet to really try. Did you use any sort of pressure or vacuum chamber?
@FrankyDCrafter Жыл бұрын
I didn’t. I thought about it but I felt like the molds were coming out okay without it. I feel like I have to experience more to find out if I need a vacuum chamber. I didn’t see a bubble issue with the brand I worked with.
@Terazashim Жыл бұрын
Awesome! Part of the reason I asked was because your casts looked so clear. Not having access to a pressure or vacuum chamber is one of the reasons I've found the idea of casting so daunting - it's nice to see that such nice casts can be achieved without them. Thanks for showing how you did this!
