Thanks everyone for checking out the video! The garage tiles turned out better than expected. I'm still loving the look of the tiles. I would recommend them if you only want the look. If you plan on working on projects on the tiles, then I would say get the solid tiles. If you place jacks/jack stands on these tiles, it'll get dented in. You would need to place some type of wood or plate to prevent that from happening.

Still loving them. Holding up fine and looks great. No color fade or cracks. If I were to pick an issue, it would be placing car jack/jack stands on them. It'll leave a dent using them. 💯 agree on dirt getting trapped. I haven't tried cleaning my tiles yet, but I know there are a few leaves under there. I'll probably have a cleaning video on it one day. But I still love the look. The other issue I ran into is working on my cars on these tiles. Jacks and jack stand will dent the tiles in. Guessing solid tiles might have fewer issues. @@SpendingJar absolutely! Ty for sharing and reviewing! Also do you think these might be able to interlock with similar tiles? Thanks for your thoughts and experience!
@SpendingJar Жыл бұрын
@wick6315 just tested the floor jack and jack stands. Looks like both will damage the tiles in some way without a plate underneath. It works, but you'll have scuff marks and dents on the tiles. As far as other manufacturers, my guess is it won't fit together. I think swisstrax has 6 tabs vs 4. Racedeck has 4 tabs but my feelings are it won't line up completely. Hope this helps! That’s my biggest question about these types of tiles too. The little grooves look like a total pain in the ass to keep clean. I’ve seen some woodworking garage videos installing these and all I can imaging is how frustrating and anger triggering it would be to get sawdust out of the grooves.
@beurownboss1554 Жыл бұрын
@@KatherineChalmers na its easy, if you are heavy into wood working and just have a lot of saw dust, a leaf blower knocks everything right out. If its more longer strands like blades of grass, then it can be a little more of a hassle and need to use a shop vac but again its super easy and the tiles keep the floors looking cleaner longer bc they fall because the debris goes between the grooves. I have these in my garage, a backyard patio, and in my gym. All areas see a different variety of dirt/debris and I much prefer these over my old epoxy floors. Cheers!

Hi, yea, I didn't cut the titles whatsoever. I kept it simple by leaving a gap where the shoe racks are. I locked them together with the hammer, placed the fridge on top, and called it a day 👍 Personally, I'm okay with it. As far as cutting the tiles. I believe they sell tools to cut tiles, sort of like cutting laminate floors. Or using best iudgement, many types of saw should work with a fine tooth blade. Haven't tried it, so I can't confirm what works best.
