Hey J Cruz nice vid! Does the ES5 have a built-in tuner?
@JCruzProject6 жыл бұрын
Emmanuel de la Rosa Hey! Thank you so much. Great question. That would be a great option however it is my understanding that it does not. It does have a dedicated tuner out however.

can you help me wth how did you connect your volume pedal to es5. i know its basic but i have hard time make mine work
@phillipcooper75665 жыл бұрын
Quick question, is there anyway to have my volume pedal between my overdrive and my verb and delays using the es5? I have 3 overdrives and my timeline and bigsky through the looper. Or would I need to just use one of the loops for the volume pedal.
@JCruzProject5 жыл бұрын
Hey Phillip! So I believe the ES-5 does not have the Volume Pedal in feature. If I'm not mistaken, the ES-8 does. So in theory yes, you would need to use a loop. However! Since the ES-5 can send MIDI messages, you don't need to put your Timeline and Bigsky in loops. You can send MIDI changes to those pedals. Therefore you can still run your volume pedal pre-wet effects. You can program your MIDI messages to send tempos and change patches. Freeing up 2 loops in the ES-5 while still controlling your Strymons. Question is...what are you going to fill the other 2 loops with!?!?!?!?! LOL! #gearproblems

So, would you suggest running the midi controlled pedals between the es-5 and the amp? Or running them in the amps FX loop?

I can't seem to get my expression pedal working with my H9 and the manual is very, very vague I find. Any luck?
@JCruzProject6 жыл бұрын
Hey Michael! Sorry for the delay. I'm not too familiar with the H9 myself. But James Lebihan has a series on how to set-up an expression pedal. Check out his videos! kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqnGY4ePZ7Rpd80

How did you assign the mute button as a tap tempo?
@JCruzProject5 жыл бұрын
11SecretHerbsAndSpices Follow the following steps: -Go to “Edit” -Go to “CTL/EXP” -Go to “Mute” -Under “Func” Use the “+” and “-“ to scroll all the way UP to “BPM” Done!

Can you explain how to control strymon with MIDI??? Not enough videos on this.

Josue Flores Hey Jouse. I’m actually not that great with Midi myself. The ES-5 and Seleh Quartz communicated INSTANTLY without me doing anything! As soon as I plugged it in, it worked. All I do is save a Tempo onto my preset and it communicates that tempo to the Quartz via midi cable. My El Capistan is modded to receive Tap Tempo “In”. This mod was done by This1sMyne. I wouldn’t be able to make this work without this mod in place. The Quartz receives and sends that midi/tempo info to my El Capistan and Boss DD-5 via “tap tempo” allowing me to sync my delays! You can also tell the ES-5 to hold the Tempo Globally. Which means if you tap a tempo in on your ES-5, it will change the tempo on all of your presets to match your tap. That’s why I reassigned the “mute” switch to a “tap” switch. So I can tap on the fly. Hope this helps!

Hi, Is there a click in the loudspeaker when changing presets? I can hear you and I wonder if it's normal
@JCruzProject5 жыл бұрын
Hey. Not too sure what you mean. However, no clicking or noise occurs through your amp or speakers when switching presets. The clicking you may hear might be me physically pressing on the switches themselves. But, just like any pedal that is perfectly normal. Thanks for watching!
