I show how I angle my box blade while grading driveways with my John Deere 3032E. I use a 5’ Behlen Country box blade with double cutting edge to grade out 3/4” minus gravel.

you should have saved the dirt you dumped over the fence to back fill that whole area up to a nice level grade

Need to move your hooks out to above the JDQA so you don’t bend your bucket anymore. You can then straighten it back out with big C clamps and angle iron

Hey Jeff I’ve lived in Kitsap County for just over 31 years, who are you getting your gravel from. I have some work I’m going to be doing at my main house. Great job, just subbed to you. 🤙

Do you mind sharing what you charge for something like this excluding the material?

So im very new at this, do you still try to get a crown on that uphill curve? The grade obviously goes down the one side. Thanks for your videos.

Yes. Otherwise water will rut out the center. I always try to keep water off the driveway.

What SCV Kit do you have on your tractor? I am in need of 2 actuators instead of 1

Had it installed at the dealer when I bought the tractor. Original JD parts. It’s a double remote. Thanks for watching!

Still have not seen anyone operate the hydraulic top link. You have a video of most everything but what the title is. How about showing the operation with you making adjustments on the fly. No one does. Most hydraulic top link videos are so much of nothing. I have wasted hours of my time watching video after video on hydraulic top links with zero of what I want to see. The operation itself not someone doing something on the fly. Maybe just maybe you can make a shorter video sometime showing the operation of the hydraulic top link you would be the first on KZbin anyway.

Hi Gary. Not sure what I’m missing here. Do you want to see the function of the lever? I explain how I adjust the box blade at about 23 mins into this vid. It’s a simple lever that tilts the blade backwards or forwards, and I don’t show that part. I don’t really adjust it on the fly… I adjust it depending on what direction I’m pulling or dragging material, and I do it before I drop the blade down. If you just want to see the movement of the top link, go watch my video ‘Another Tractor Job’. I do show it briefly in that video. Not sure if that’ll give you what you’re looking for or not. Have a good evening!

He explained it. It makes sense. Get out there and use one and you'll figure it out in minutes. If you've ever used a box blade, and you understand how pitching the box forward or backward changes how your blades cut or drag, then you know what kind of adjustments you make to the top link. A hydraulic top link lets you make the changes while running, so you can set it where you want it while watching it cut. It's common sense.
