Nice video. You convince me to buy the thick 12 set. I like your idea of moving to another area when you ran out of colors. Hope this helps too. 😊 *TIPS* (also posted a shorter version on Jazza): The key is NOT to sharpen the tip of the pencil to a point especially the 7-color. Sharpen it just enough to expose the "lead". Then peel it with a snap-off cutter blade to expose 3 to 5mm (1/8 to 1/4 of an inch for American friends). You will have more pigment to use to cover more areas and few wasted pigments. If it's becoming pointy or dull flatten the end to a circle/cylinder using a sand paper. This way you will have sharp edge to create thinner lines. Or square-sharpen one side for finer linework. It's also possible to sharpen flat along the edge of the checkered pattern. You'll love this one. These sharpening methods will make it easier to control. ⭐ *Why not just use regular colored pencil? * There are 1.gradient 2.edge 3.texture Effects that you can easily achieve and the accuracy is higher (no thin white gaps between colors). There are 4-color (RYBG), 7-color(ROYGCBV), and the 2- to 4-patterned lead in harmonious colors in this video. It costs $0.15 to $0.6 from China (Mar 2024) *New techniques skills* If you maximize the lead thickness, you'll be able to build new pencil coloring skills which is not achievable with the pointy pencil. Combine this with the various traditional mark-making skills (stippling, hatching, tapered lines, etc.)🤯 ( _Trudy Friend's Complete Problem Solver_ ) For mixed/blended/muddy color, orient the pencil perpendicular to the movement of the lead. If you want purer colors side by side, orient the length of the pencil along the movement of the lead. This 2nd way is useful if the color combination are light an dark. Hope this helps too for those who are frustrated with this under-utilized rainbow pencil.

One of my favorite things about the multi-colored pencils is how "out of control" it is, where you don't really know what's gonna happen next. I own the set of black large barreled pencils...Just received yesterday and I'm having a lot of fun with them!

I know! I really like my Kohinoor Tritones, but theses are so pigmented and vibrant. The color combinations make sense and work well with what I like to draw. My dark green/ light green/ yellow Tri-tone is getting prettty short, as is the brown combo I use for wood, I may have to give these a try.

@@PaintinHiding, I ordered the jumbo pencils and received my order today, unfortunately I didn't receive what I ordered, the box is the same, but the pencils that I received are not jumbo, the colors are not the same as yours and they all had a broken tip. My sister placed the same order and she also didn't receive what she ordered, the pencils are identical to the ones I received, she returned them to be replaced and they replaced it with the same wrong pencils. I believe they don't have the same pencils you have. The vendor on amazon uses your video showing one thing and delivers another. If I were you I would ask them to take the video out of circulation because I wouldn't want to do false advertising. I thought you'd appreciate knowing this is happening. Happy holidays to you too !

Very interesting! Very versatile, you may take one pencil for the whole sketch, but, maybe needs some practice to work with it. I have a few similar pencils from Kohinoor. But they seems have quite hard nibs.

There's These Swirl Rainbow Gel Pens I Don't Remember The Name of Them They Have Three Different Colored Inks Inside The Third Ink Is a Mixture Combination Of The Previous Two So it looks like You'll get Three Different Colors When you Reach That Point

they're as erase-able as regular colored pencils. so yes, to a certain degree. some colours erase easier than others. hope that helps :D

Thank you for such an amazing and thorough review. I always wondered how to use these besides just random colors I love how do you swatch each pencil and then have a drawing to go with it. You made a fun product, even more versatile by demonstrating two ways to use them. I like how you clearly explained the difference between the two products. It really makes it easier to understand how you have to approach using them differently. Numbering them was a great idea and watching you swatch them so cool and fascinating. You definitely have a lot of skill in using these you make them look like so much fun. I’m tempted to buy them. Thanks again for such a fun and informative video.
