Great video Aldo! The editing and the presentation we're really great and your thoughts on all the different aspects, pros and cons, and unique attributes were spot on. Although I'm always amazed when people get more than a few hours battery life 🤣🤣

How does it do for video rendering . I’m looking for a 2-1 laptop that will run adobe rush. I do a lot of videos for my church and would love a laptop that I could do this work from home instead of my windows. Machine in the office Father Omar Reyes

You need the i7 with RTX 3050 for the best rendering.
@AldoJames2 жыл бұрын
Agreed, if you want to do video rendering get the model with the dedicated graphics card. The i5 can do it but it's not optimal

How’s your Pro going Justin? What are you thinking about the new Pro 9?
@AldoJames2 жыл бұрын
It can take a bit of time to get used to the mouse as they use haptic feedback instead of real buttons. How has the laptop been going?

@@AldoJames in my case the surface pro 8 does everything I need. The only thing I'd like is it to render video faster. But its probably not worth getting a egpu.

Does the i7 version work with autocad revit etc?
@AldoJames2 жыл бұрын
I don't use the i7 version but it definitely works well with autocad / revit etc as I had the i7 Surface Book 3 which was replaced by the Laptop Studio and even the Book ran those programs really solidly

I have the Laptop Studio and seeing how you handle the screen was really stressing me out.
@davidwong72832 жыл бұрын
I have had my SLS for 5 months , love the high quality form factor . but mainly the touch screen , 120hz and how i could just transform this into tablet , and read E-newspapers in PDF on the great screen while laying back so comfortably on my sofa . i could not do this with a normal laptop . It is very expensive though . i mean if you dont need the 120hz comfort on the eyes while scrolling or fast moving games and videos , or if you dont need the tablet function, dont need the drawing function with pen ..just a traditional touch screen laptop , you dont need the SLS . you could save alot of money on dell 2 in 1's . dell recently released a new XPS . really close competitor with the new XPS , but it cant stand on its own when detached from keyboard, so a surface pro 8 would beat it if you wanted purely like a tablet to stand on its own when you place it on a table to give a presentation . the Cons of the SLS is that when you come to compare with apple ipad pro , i still think apple products are technically simpler . windows products practically need to update your anti-virus etc almost on daily basis , there is alot of technicalities to understand on the hardware and how to protect the battery to keep it healthy , more bugs generally with windows as well . i forgot to say the SLS screen is of very high quality . its not Oled so u get less PWM , pulse wave modulation that cause headaches . LCD is good . so IPAD pro uses Oled , you might want to be aware on the PWM factor . so the SLS screen is really great , ppi isnt like super alot but looks very clear and sharp . 120hz is great . i think alot of the money went to the screen and form factor and tablet function . Battery wise is one of the cons , i have been getting weird flunctuations on my battery wear from 0% wear to 4% wear after 5 months ...now its like 1% wear . some how its not like my iphone 13 pro max where the battery wear calculations is always so spot on . apple products are simply so simple to understand , so easy to use , so damn stable and fast and powerful . i had to buy an SLS over an ipad cos i still prefer windows how files are organised . and many programs can be used on windows , including " Pirated " ones hahaha ... apple you cant . A Macbook has no touch screen and no pen . that is very silly why apple doesnt include that on their macs . but alas i understand they dont want to kill their ipads .

Hey David, how are you finding your laptop studio a few months in? Thank you so much for the in-depth on it
@davidwong72832 жыл бұрын
@@AldoJames wrote a long reply but didnt show up so will write again . but i keep very short here . i managed to stabilise my battery to 0% battery wear now after 7 months use . at least the last 6 days its been 0% . i mentioned the fluctuations previously so its cos i had been on the battery limit mode of 50% for 2 months + . so 6 days ago i recaliberated . drained to 6% , remove limiter , charged up for 2.5 hours , with laptop turned off . so for sure it was 100% . then i used it for a few days without charging , untill it reached about 40% and i turned back on limiter and charged to 50 . after doing this last 6 days the battery has been stable , to be exact , 99.45% to 100.4% . so 55950 mwh to 56420mwh . design capacity is 56310mwh . there are of couse a few other details i didnt mention to keep it short . i am writing a second reply here ...abit tired haha .. lastly i did compliment the 120hz on the previous comment , but i now realise the screen isnt the best of the best . yes the 120hz makes it smoother , ( dynamic refresh is crap , nothing like apple pro motion ) so i stick with 120hz all the time . but the screen has ghosting so the 25-30 ms is not the fastest .as you know less than 5ms is the best . when you use the mouse you can see it easily . its not a problem on the whole as the 120hz does make it overall better than an average screen , so why isnt the screen faster ?? ok i think so could be its also a touch screen ?? Aldo why not you tell me ?

Great video. I have an SLS and use it in a very similar way. Moved from the SB2, and I am getting the hang of it. I loved my SB2 - still love it, actually, but the power in the SLS is fantastic, and I got it for a steal of a price, so I can't complain, really. I can never imagine myself not having a machine with a pen. Pen input is a real thing, and once you have it - even if you don't use it every day - you miss it much too much when it is not there. Pen input is KING!! The SLS is an excellent machine for doing that. The placement of the pen is an absolute triumph. I do think it runs a little hot, though - have you found that?

Nothing too heavy as i also have a PS5, just games like Two Point Hospital, Two Point Campus, Company of Hero’s 3, Sims and games like that.
