That is very interesting and amazing that the medics at the hospital worked out that you needed a brain scan just from your psychiatric symptoms of being suicidal and emotional. I'm impressed, they sound like good doctors. Have all your symptoms gone away now since the surgery? What was your recovery like?
@robdelpal21185 жыл бұрын
I was incredibly lucky to have the doctors I had. I am forever grateful for their skill and experience in helping me survive the ordeal. My recovery went pretty good overall, despite it taking several months before I was back to 100%. I spent about a week in the hospital and another 4 months just resting up and not engaging in any mentally taxing activities. There were a lot of days I spent just sitting outside watching the world go by as that was as much as my brain could handle. Now, my brain is back to full capacity and rarely shows any sign that anything was ever wrong. I'm just glad now it's all behind me (for the most part) and (hopefully) there aren't any more brain surgeries in my future!

@@donaldzuramp4404 My understanding is that the tumor is dead once it stops growing. Since undergoing radiation back in 2017, all of my MRIs have shown my tumor as no longer growing :-)

Hey, so how long before your diagnosis did you notice symptoms? did you ever wake up with a non painful but noticeable head pain in one concentrated spot? Please answer
@robdelpal21188 жыл бұрын
It was about 1.5 to 2 years from my first headache to the day of my diagnosis. When my headaches first began, I had pain all over my head. It wasn't until I started seeing the chiropractor that my headaches were reduced down to a single point. At times, my headache would be in a single point and wouldn't be too painful. They would hurt only slightly and I would only notice it if I stopped what I was doing and thought about it. If I could go back and do everything over again, after two weeks of constant headaches, I would go get an MRI. The sooner you catch a brain tumor, the better chance you have at fighting it.

hi rob? i have a pain in my head in one spot almost a month and for the 6th week i wake up every 1 or 2hrs from sleep.. did you experience something like this before you were diagnosed? thanks.. Godbless🙏
@robdelpal21183 жыл бұрын
Hi there! My headaches were always in the same general spot in the back of my head by my neck. Also, I was lucky enough that they never woke me up. The only relief I was able to get was while I was sleeping. As soon as I would wake up though, my headaches would immediately return. I hope you're able to get some help to figure out what's causing your pain. Please go see a doctor if you haven't already!

Hey ,i have pain that lasts for a few seconds but in Different parts of the head sometimes the front sometimes the back or the sides of the head and i don’t think its a tumor because tumors pain have to be in one location right ?
@robdelpal21185 жыл бұрын
Hey, that's a really good question. I honestly don't know the answer. Considering how many different types of tumors there are out there, it wouldn't entirely surprise me if a particular type of tumor(s) could cause you pain in different parts of your head at different times.

The first 8 min of this video dont make me think this is a tumor issue...at all.. Im distracted by the details of the story. Im thinking theres other serious medical concerns. Personality stuff.. Spiritual stuff.. Either way, i gave a thumbs up. God bless.

I got a ct scan yesterday and it came back normal but i still feel scared i have a tumor. My symptoms are headaches that increase with coughing or straining only sometimes tho. And lightheadedness sometimes face tingles. The problem is that i have severe anxeity. Just freaking out. can a ct scan find a tumor??
@robdelpal21185 жыл бұрын
Hey, glad to hear you got yourself checked out. Sorry it didn't provide you with any real answers though. I don't really know the extent to which a ct scan can detect a tumor, but in my case, the doctors could tell on the scan that something wasn't right. Once an MRI was done, then the doctors were able to confirm I in fact had a brain tumor. You might want to consult with your doctor about your concerns, they could probably give you a better answer than I can.

Headache aren’t the only cause of a tumor maybe it’s just problems with the neck or maybe you have sinus issues. Also most headaches are caused by tension

@robdelpal21184 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks so much. I did have some coordination issues but I don't think they were related at all to my brain tumor. As far as you not getting the headache/vision problems i mentioned, what exactly would you like more clarification on?

Hello, how did you feel after? Did you feel back to normal? Thanks
@robdelpal21188 жыл бұрын
Hey sorry for the very delayed response. Anyway, I feel MUCH better after the surgery although it is still a bit of a roller coaster. It's hard to say if I'm really back to normal. I can't carry anything as a result of the brain surgery and I am on the road to full hormone replacement therapy because of my tumor and post surgery radiation therapy. I plan to make additional videos on this but have been struggling with the motivation to do so.

So you went I the hospital for suicidal thoughts and then they immediately wanted to do a cat scan?
@robdelpal21185 жыл бұрын
Well, I was taken to the hospital by the police based on the info my friend had given them about me and also the police's own assessment of my physical/mental condition. I actually don't remember a lot about being in the emergency room. I don't know how long I was there before they decided to order a CT scan. I wish I could provide you with greater detail as to how that went down but I simply cannot remember it all.
