Mannn, I can relate to this a lot. I am in my 10th year and a strong mathematics, sciences as well as a student who really enjoys performing sports and learning other languages. But when it comes to English Language arts and literature, I am weak. I do have a strategy to change my own perspective towards English and that is to spending time with English by giving a chance for that particular subject. Because I want to do Mathematics in near future at a university and in order to do that, in my country, getting high marks in English, sciences and for Mathematics is absolutely everything. I used to be TERRIBLE at maths it's not even a joke.When I was in year 4 I didn't even know how to divide TWO digit numbers and in in year 6 I got a D for maths.But on the other hand I loved english with all my heart because it was just amazing and I still love english to this day.Before I improved in my maths I used to DREAD maths and did not like the subject one bit.I always tried to improve but ended up failing.I realise now that all I needed was the motivation and hard work and effort that would be important to my success.So I tried my best and improved.Now here I am in High School and get an A for maths.Like seriously -_- it's a miracle.

Wow, what an amazing story. Honestly I am the same though. I've always looked at myself as an Art student only, because that was the only thing I was good at and found fun. Every time I felt a subject didn't work for me I would just go back to art. I was almost about to give up on English because I got feedback on my draft recently and felt like I just wasn't cut out for English, like you're right even if I did try I definitely didn't try as hard as I did in art and that's probably why, not because I was just 'born to suck'

I read "To Kill a Mocking Bird" by Harper Lee back when I was in the first semester of 8th grade in late 2005. My favorite character was Atticus Finch and my least favorite character was Robert Ewell. I remember I had to write an essay on that book explaining who was my favorite and least favorite characters of the book and my reasons why I think that way for each character. And the essay had to be at least two to three pages long (typewritten and in MLA format). My essay received strong marks and was one of my favorite books in middle school.

That's so relatable to me. Last year, I didn't care much about English and social studies. I was a math and science person, so I generally focused my time on those two subjects. I did two Maths. One that was my equal second highest (with another subject), and one that was 4th highest....from memory! I also did two English subjects, with one being my highest, and the other my lowest LOL.
