I had "the heavy car bug" for a few months and it is exactly what you said, a delay in input. The car isnt slower but its impossible to hit the ball because you miss everything and the delay makes the car feel extremely heavy. Thats how it feels. It might be a PC related but in my case it went a way when the season changed so I don't know. But yeah, it is definitely not a placebo and going slo-mo wont help.

I think it's crazy how you said; gc in 2's was top 5% back in the day. Now me being C3 div2 in 2's is top 3.6%

Also gc was the highest rank in the game, it went champ -> super champ -> grand champ, basically replacing champ 1, 2, and 3

anyone with heavy car bug. Try switching to windowed mode apply it and then switch back to fullscreen. I'm not sure why but I have to do that if I ever tab out or anything, its a refresh rate / latency issue. My friend found lowering his resolution helped a lot with latency as well.

HCB is not placebo, even if it was the zen comparison is not great considering zen using directional air roll on an analog input is a decision he made, even though you are right about directional air roll being slower on an analog input versus an instant input, he made the choice to be slower with more control and it's the same every day for him. HCB is not a decision and is not consistent day to day. Slow-mo is placebo and you're effectively telling people to counteract HCB with placebo, if HCB is real slow-mo would not fix the issue. If you do struggle with HCB like i do it's as if your sensitivity changes at random day to day, obviously it doesn't but that's how it feels, making it extremely hard to get consistent when everyday feels like your learning new sensitivity's, it takes a very long time to "warm-up" sometimes not even feeling like you're warmed up even after a 3 hour session. imagine you sensitivity's change at random and every day you have to learn a new sensitivity, it's incredibly frustrating. HCB most likely is not just the game and i can understand why people think its placebo because why would the game change at random for some people but not others? there are a lot of things that could effect your cars feeling or give you input lag outside of the game.

​@@JamaicanCoconutRL i want to believe that, i just don't understand why i have only ever had this "placebo" on rocket league, i played halo 3/reach and cod blackops 2 competitively, have 3k hours surfing on csgo (very precise movement based game) with a mouse and have never had an issue, not a single time did i get on and feel like my analog stick or mouse was turning slower than normal, its very hard for me to just accept that in my life of video games rocket league is apparently the only game my brain has decided to have placebo in, even within rocket league i don't get placebo with boost/car decal/cam settings/video settings. rocket league aerial/turning radius is the only thing.
