Re: Punishment for moving Audio needs to be way toned down. So much of encounters is perfectly listening to people from increasingly ridiculous distances. Adding more headphones with increasingly silly listening distances just serves to make the problem worse. Crabbing definitely shouldn't be quieter than slow walking...walking slowly standing up is much quieter IRL.

You should spend $800 on a real set of any of the headsets from tarkov. You'd be surprised what you can hear and how much redundant noise is toned down in real life. There's a reason why special forces use these, and its because you can hear a mouse from a quarter mile away. Even walking in the woods if you just stop and listen, you'll hear how loud animals are, how loud even a rabbit hopping on leaves or a lizard running through twigs sounds from just listening. Some people have even more adept ears than others, where they can focus in on one specific sound and direction. Animals have this sense too, but 100x greater than humans. Just saying man, this is probably the greatest audio of any game out there. Also, these headsets sit firmly around your ears and inherently block out certain frequencies of sounds, essentially making most unwanted noises unheard. My friend owns some headset that can muffle the sound of people talking and enhance the sound of muffled noises, basically inverting sound to pick up on lows and block out highs. With those on, you can hear someone walking down the street if its a quiet neighborhood or hear rustling in bushes from quite a ways away. TLDR, Buy a special forces headset and judge for yourself how real or unreal tarkov's sound is
