I really like this girl. She’s sharp and clear in her logic. Bravo.

Wow! I remember those old website designs. They look soooo bad now!! I remember taking an HTML course and literally, the weekend after I finished the course, I walked into a CompUSA (don't think they exist anymore) and as I browsed for something I needed, something caught my eye. Upon a closer look, it was the very first drag'n drop web design in a box! Yep! I felt discouraged as I knew in that moment that I had wasted my time and money learning to code knowing that I was staring at the wave of the future!

It’s not the “way of the future” 😂 most websites (especially the big websites) are custom coded. No code is just an easier option for people who can’t code. Custom coded websites are still far better

I have a always wanted to learn Web Designing and finally decided to start. But I'm completely overwhelmed by where to start since there are a lot of software like Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator. I'm going to take your word for it and watch your site builder comparison video and choose the one I think is best suited for me and start learning it. Hopefully, I'll understand what to learn as I go through the process.

Fabulous you've decided to start ... andddd totally understand that it can feel overwhelming! Starting with the site comparison video is a great place to start ... anndd make sure to grab this free workbook too www.pbcourses.com/start-squarespace-site . It's easy to think you need a thousand & one softwares, but I ran my biz with just Squarespace & Canva - it can be that simple!) Oh & keep an eye on your emails at the beginning of January - I've got something perfect coming your way!!

You mentioned finding a course to learn the platform. What are your thoughts on LinkedIn learning? Are these courses good for someone who has an account or would you recommend someplace else?

I know that you’re pushing for no-code, but you’re wrong. Coding offers way more flexibility and scalability. Just because YOU and a bunch of other people aren’t cut out for coding, doesn’t mean it’s not still the best option.

you have no clue that you talking about - as a designer you always have to imagine how it will be built or at least understand limitations of css =) no matter which technology used - modern or anything like wp (whatever else) you always draw the interfaces O.o

As a teenager interested in becoming a web designer, I plan to attend college in the future, but I want to build the necessary skills to become a good designer overall. As you are experienced, what would you recommend I learn?
@FeelinErie8 ай бұрын
@@cookies2225 I'm a new Visual Designer (web design, branding, illustration) and I would suggest learning UX/UI Design principles, Figma (or Adobe Xd), Adobe Creative Suite, typography and colour theory, Responsive Design, prototyping skills, light animation skills eg Lottie, understand a little HTML & CSS - if you're collaborating with Web Developers, they will love you even more for understanding a part of their world, and pick a no-code website builder eg. Squarespace, Wix, Framer, Webflow, Wordpress :)
