I believe this is in D Lydian (sharp 2) mode, which is my favorite mode to play in on 7 string. It's the sixth mode of the Harmonic Minor scale and the Harmonic Minor begins on the open string up from your low string. It's fun to play wround with on 7 string because you can use your top 6 strings like a standard guitar and play in Harmonic Minor and then dip down into the Lydian (sharp 2) on the low string when you want to go even lower and more evil!

This is a EVH 5153 EL34 50 with an Boss EQ200 in the loop hitting the front of the amp with a Ibanez TS9 into a twonotes torpedo live digital loadbox with Erik Rutan IR's. Guitar is an E2 Arrow with a EMG 81 in the bridge
