Thought about you yesterday seeing how I have not been getting notifications on your videos, yet here you are just on time to inspire me. I wrote and self-published a children's book years ago through Trafford Publishing, which cost me a lot of money, which I never got back. 😡 Told myself never again will I go that route. From now on I will use Amazon or Lulu to publish any and all of my books. Very happy with both of them. Looking forward to more of your videos. Lots of rain here, so none of that ice for us in NC.

Hello there! This is a great question. In order to do this Ill most likely have to get my book printed on Ingram Spark or a different platform. It really sucks that Amazon doesnt have the hardcover option available for this size of a book. But I love creating childrens books and have created around 4 more. One of them sells pretty well in the UK marketplace.

Thanks for informative the video! I wrote a children's story, years back, and now would like to share with others. I do hope to have an illustrator and fingers crossed to get it done and up on KDP! As for Chat GPT, I got curious what it would do storywise. I requested a 500 word children story with the idea of my story and hit "enter". I was surprised one part of Chat's story was identical to mine! It's entire story had the basic concept of mine, with some flips on how to get there. I love to edit my own stories, yet Chat could give you ideas not thought of and editable material to make more your own. How do you like all this ice here in DFW? I have not seen anybody move on my street!!!

Hello there! So Amazon only allows childrens books to be printed in either Hardcover or Paperback versions. The hardcover version is only available in certain sizes.

I was all excited today about getting my first Children's book published. I joined Amazon KDP and to my absolute horror, discovered their minimum colour page count is 72 pages. How on earth do you create a 72 page story for pre school or toddlers? How did you get a 35 page book published on Amazon KDP, am I missing something?

Hello there! You will need to make sure that you select "premium color" for the pages to make a 35 page book in color. Hope this helps!

I just want to ask one more question how you added margins in your 8.5x8.5 book .as did the same but kdp is saying that add margins of 0.125 and 0.25 to your book ...can you plz help how to do that in canva.

@@CrochetbyF yes you need to add bleed to your book because it sounds like your content is bleeding off the page and also the books interior size should be 8.625 x 8.75.
