How important are Heat Load Calculations when replacing HVAC?

if its a replacement the ductwork should already be calculated and equipment is limited to that size. sometimes not worth tearing the house apart to increase ductwork sizing. another bookworm trying to throw a wrench in the trade....most people wont pay that price bookworm
