This year his stats aren’t as flashy but he is disciplined and good. Plus he has the #1 scoring defense in the league supporting him. Doing what he’s doing with the receiving core he has is nothing short of amazing.

I’ll never understand why individual stats can distinguish a top 4 talent in any other position except the QB position. TJ Watt or Myles Garrett would be considered one of the best at their position. Some of these other QBs who won in the playoffs had great coaching, quality receivers, and a run game. For instance, other than one, who are Herbert's elite receivers this year? I think Ladd would be the only one on most fantasy teams. And if Ladd goes down, there isn't one receiver that anyone would dare even put on their bench in fantasy. Having been in four fantasy leagues this year I was painfully aware of it. Other than Ladd, the other Chargers receivers were always available in fantasy.
